Where are all those trolls that flamed me earlier about what I said about team chemistry? This is one of the worst looking NC State teams that I have seen in a long time as far as team chemistry goes. These guys obviously don't know anything about our tradition or care enough to go out and make NC State a feared name again. This loss is going to linger all season and until we start winning and winning big (kinda like what Michigan had to do) we will continue to not be taken seriously. If Lowe doesn't get things turned around really soon this season could end up much like the last season.

I was at the game and thought we got screwed by the refs. I came home and watched it on TV.

uh uh.

Fells and Grant's terrible fouls lost us that game. They need to quit acting like they think they are hip hop stars and find some humility. I hope they learn from this or we will have a down year with perhaps the best player weve had in decades on our roster....

Also we cant shoot worth shit this year. Losing atsur's shot is a big loss that no one has been talking about. Degand cant shoot, horner lost it somewhere.... ugh...

I'm tired of the damn excuses for why we can't fill up the arena. To be honest it didn't look that bad on television. "Oh it's a wed. night game. We can't get to the game. Oh it's a sunday night game, people have better things to do." It shouldn't matter. Once the season starts we should be averaging at least 15k for the small time games b/c shit like tonight could happen where we need the crowd on our side. i wish i lived in the Triangle b/c I'd go to every damn game. Those living in the Triangle area don't realize how good they've got it.

It's gonna be a Sunday night, a Tuesday night, a Wednesday night, a Thursday night, and so on for a good chunk of the rest of the season.

Thursday night football games don't seem to stop us, but I realize that's comparing apples to oranges.

ha, and the preseason ranking haunts us again. We're also lucky that we only lost be 2. And I had a bad feeling when the crowd went nuts after grant made that quick layup. 7sec+ is a lot of time to get down the court.

And how are the refs going to take away the points from Hickson when he dunked and the ball went through and came back out. They played it just like it was made until NO started going down the court. If you're going to take away the points, you better damn well call that shit out of bounds on NO when the went to pass the ball in and give us the ball. That's like reviewing a fucking play in football after the offense has snapped.

can somebody explain the points taken off the replay a possession later after hickson's amazing move and jam?

also the phantom? flagrant foul. did we just get vandied again? Looked like a typical routine reach in foul and a flagrant was called. This was the one play that completely changed the game.

also was the foul that gave them the late lead on fts really a foul?

Also would've been nice to get a timeout to settle down for defense at the end but as soon as grant made the shot they took it out the basket and left.

there were 3 guys all around the shooter and he banked it in.

THey called offensive goaltending on the Hickson missed dunk, not a conspiracy.

^^^ There might have been three guys AROUND him but they werent in his face until after the shot was released. No reason to leave a guy wide open with the game on the line.


The intentional foul was bullshit but thats why you don't ever give the refs a chance to make a deciding call like that.

Just win by 20 and then 1-2 calls won't matter.

Shitty game, Sidney better get it together.

dont blame it on the refs. Our guys lost this game. All of those fouls should have and were called. Fells' was intentional because he never went for the ball. He may have tried to wrap up the guy to keep him from falling but the refs got it right. Grants' foul was just plain stupid. He bumped the guy while the guy was falling. Refs had to call that.

Plain and simple, we didn't want it and UNO did. They beat us to every loose ball, looked twice as fast as we did and probably outrebounded us even though we were the much bigger team. If not for Hickson, we would've lost by 15.

Hopefully, this puts a sense of urgency into the team. If not, this will be an even longer season than last year.

yeah he should never wear that again, i doubt g would have been too happy with it either

and the ref that called the intentional foul had a bad angle for the call, it did look like fells was just wrapping his arms around the dude from behind but both hands were making a play on the ball from the front side, it should have been just a regular foul.

and I agree this should deflate a lot of egos like that of Gavin 'i don't see us losing more than four games' Grant and hopefully Lowe will be able to use this to light a fire under their asses, because when you play basketball as shitty as was done tonight, you deserve to lose.

I have not seen them play together as a team yet, and that was entirely what made us so powerful at the end of last season. Now that we have the depth, team chemistry and communication needs to improve dramatically. Most of the time our offense is various one-man shows with hickson or grant and degand slashing toward the goal.

And the free throw situation was absolutely abysmal. We wouldn't even have had to worry about the game getting close were we not 10 - 19 from the line.

this was just lazy and disgusting to watch
