it's still a win, no matter how much you guys like to hear yourselves talk see yourselves type.

it's pretty much a given that we'll play down to the competition, we've played up some as well(we are 'nova's only loss...)

They played pretty tough against Cincinnati and lost by only 2 by a score of 66-64. I figured they'd come out fired up to play one of the big boys of the state, but I didn't expect them to at one point be hitting 70% of their 3 point shots.

I'm just glad we got the win. Thank god for J.J. Hopefully come Jan. 12th when they see that red coat they get fired up and something clicks in their head to play hard and smart like we know they can.

We finally played like we were supposed to in the 2nd half, outscoring them 42-21 and turning a 9 point deficit to a 12 point win. That and Hickson dominating is the only good thing about this game. Lowe should make the team run laps for the next couple of days. No way should a team like WCU give the Pack a scare at home, it should be inexcusable. Our defense needs work and our turnover problems are only going to get worse against more athletic ACC teams. Only two games before the big one, lots to fix before then.

yeah i'm not too worried about the unc game. we may not win, but we won't get blown out. we won't see another msu type loss all year. we'll probably see some more wtf NO/ECU losses though...well not quite that bad...but some head scratchers.

^if we play like we have been playing we'll get killed by UNC. Our offense has been out of sink all year long, the guys look lost on the court and they don't play together at all.

I love how people have made comments like "if we play like we should" or "if we play like we are able to..." but we haven't all year, so just because there is potential doesn't mean jack if you NEVER play up to it. We need to find team chemistry quickly, or it will be a long year for ACC play.

Seriously, one game does not a season make, you're actually happy about going 1-2 against a team last year, a terrific .33 winning %, well it would be hall of fame numebrs for baseball!

I'm not complacent in the least but I know this team, the team that lost to ECU and NO and if you expect us to win any game by more than 20 with the way we've been playing you're being unrealistic. This team WILL step up to the real competition, probably not in time for the first UNC game, but it won't be a total blowout either. Things are improving every game they play, and Degand was even beginning to click and fill his pg shoes before he tore his acl. If Costner, Horner, and Fells can rediscover their touch from behind the arc to take some pressure off the inside game, and we can get a point guard who can actually coordinate the offense a little bit things will improve dramatically.

You might call it a cop-out but when a team is shooting 70% from the 3pt line (like WC in the first half) and making tough contested shots it's going to be a challenge. In the past it certainly was a cop-out to say that they were shooting lights out because we weren't defending the three at all and any half-ass ball team can hit wide open threes, but perimeter defense is slowly improving.

But it's just stupid to expect me to be pissed at my team for winning a game.

If we are going to look like shit, now is the time. If we just get in the damn tourney and are "peaking" around that time, we'll be fine. As for the game @Carolina - odds are it will be tough to watch but I didnt expect to get the W at home last year either

Well he may not have shown it in the game today . . . but Javi's shooting is looking much better. At the beginning of the season he was shooting with both hands from the chest. Today in warm-ups he had a normal jump shot and hit a lot of 3's. Lets hope his suckiness keeps diminishing as his hand gets back to normal.

And who was the player from our team in shooting at the opposite end of the court during warm-ups before the other team came out? It looked like Johnny Thomas and if it was . . . he's moving pretty good now for it only being a couple months since his surgery.

with the current landscape of college basketball and the 3 point line being the great equalizer, i dont give a fuck how much we win a game by for the most part

this whole we beat western by 12 so carolina is gonna beat us by 30 is fucking retarded

yes i was there and we played like shit for about 25 minutes, but i personally dont mind some close games, at least our assholes wont tighten up when we have close games in conference play
