I was like WTF. Since when should people be expected to hole up in their homes because leaving could be the end of them. This is not fucking Iraq.

I think the criminal justice system needs to be streamlined to the point where all petty offenses are decriminalized and then they could throw resources at gangs, property, and bodily crimes. It wont ever happen but if it did we would all be safer.
