Personally I hate Adam I think he is a poser, he is a cabaret performer. I think he will win because the producers want him to. I have liked 2 of his performances last weeks and the one a few weeks ago.

I just think he looks like a bitch that needs to be beaten to a pulp.

I agree that Adam is the most unique and talented contestant we have seen to date. Is he BY FAR a better SINGER than everyone else? No - Matt, Anoop, and Kris all have great voices, they just aren't as great performers and can't hit the squealing high notes Adam can. Kris has been stepping his game up the past few weeks, and I think if he chooses the right songs in the coming weeks he can be in the top 3 along with Adam and Allison.

Not a big fan of Adam hitting the "squealing high notes". I don't know, his voice just sounds really annoying to me. I will admit I liked his performance last week, by far the best one, but every week other than that I thought his performances were pretty bad. And last night, I just listened to the performance, didn't watch it, and his squealing was pretty bad. If I want to hear "squealing high notes" I'll just go to a hog farm, I'd rather here the singers in this competition.

Danny Gokey is going to win this contest. He has the back story and he has the talent. I doubt Adam's in the final 2, probably going to be Danny and Kris.

Kris did awesome last night. Though I could see people not getting it if they hadn't seen Once before or heard the title track. It's a shaky song, that's kinda the style, but he blasted certain parts to make it his own. I admit that I forgot to vote last night.

Lil Rounds has lost me now. She's just another black girl that can sing, but she's lacking anything special right now. I'm glad the DVR stopped before I heard her remarks back to the judges...stop picking shitty songs.

I hate that at the end, they always run out of time & the last 2 contestants lose out on a lot of judge feedback. All that time they waste at the beginning of the show, introducing the judges & chatting & all that bullshit they chat about after a commercial, cut that shit out & give the singers more time & the judges more time. Stupid producers. </rant>

I don't think executive producers typically have much to do with the day-to-day producing or directing of the show.

executive producers usually either thought up the concept of the show or had some hand in getting it to television--financing, finding talent, etc.

I agree that this season has been a trainwreck in terms of production. Shows running over, sound being horrible, feedback in the mics, etc.

I don't know the ins and outs of American Idol's specific production and the roles they fill, I just have a hard time believing that a TV star/executive producer in Nigel has any role whatsoever in the day to day production issues they have been having.

I'm more inclined to believe they are going over time because Randy isn't the first judge anymore. He was pretty good about quieting down the audience quickly and beginning the critique. Now you might have Paula wait 45 seconds for the crowd to finish cheering, then start spouting her nonsense for another 3 minutes. That kind of shit adds up when even in past years, having 7 or 8 contestants in a one hour show was pushing it.

^^DialIdol actually claims they're predictions were correct this week. The problem with DialIdol is that it's so vague. They really made only 2 claims this week:

1. Danny Gokey will not rank 7th
2. Kris Allen will not rank 1st

They said everyone else could rank anywhere from 1-7, which isn't really a prediction at all. And since they don't reveal who is 1st, all DialIdol needed to be 100% correct was for Danny to not be voted off.

oh, i was just saying that every other week, the person they had at the bottom is the one who went home - with the exception of last week, when scott went home even though they had him in 3rd from last. and this week they had kris last and matt 2nd to last - but kris wasn't even in the bottom 3.

I think dialidol's methodology is missing the texting part of voting which is a huge chunk of the kris allen vote, I'd be willing to bet. It's also probably not a huge part of the Scott vote which is why he showed higher last week.

Overall, I like the site and it usually just confirms what I had already been thinking anyways.

^^^DialIdol didn't exactly say that Kris was predicted to be in last place, they only said he could be anywhere from 2nd place to last place.

I know, but their raw data showed he would be in last place because his number only rang busy 5% of the time.

Their actual predictions, of course, take into account the margin of error which allowed him to be basically anywhere. Even if they didn't have a MOE, their predictions still wouldn't take into account texting which is a big part of the teen/young adult voting block, I'd bet.
