I like how Ryan Craig on WRAL live chat flat out said that "...atleast todays game was exciting unlike any of the games yesterday"

I'm just as upset when Duke gets ridiculous calls as UNC.

And I have yet to hear a single person defend that jump ball call.

yea, out of all people, tschudi shouldn't be the one to talk. We all know dook the notorious for having refs on their sides. Remember the dook/clemson game last year?

he has ONE hand on the ball. and his other hand is on the VT dude's back

and what does Duke have to do with this? i will fully admit that they benefit from calls.. i rarely see any UNC fan admit that though. without the refs, Duke probably wouldn't have won a few games (especially at NCSU last year, VT this year, maybe even not the 2001 nat'l championship (MD final 4 game)). but if UNC fans are being honest, they will admit that they got lucky today (and if we want to go back a few years, that "travel" call on Nova helped them get to the final 4)

looks like Hansbrough's right hand was holding the Tech player and keeping him from moving

He got mostly ball in the front, but he also had an arm in his back the whole time.

It wasn't nearly as egregious as some of the non-calls in the epic last night. Most notably Adrien's shot at the buzzer in one of the OTs and then Harris' at the end of one of the OTs too.

Lol, I remember when someone linked to a Duke message board and there was a 9 page thread devoted to hating teams who employ flops like Tyler Hansbrough does.

Reading that thread was almost surreal. It was like I was in some kind of parallel universe where everything was transposed... It was nuts.

Yeah, those photos show me exactly nothing. Anyone with two sets of eyes and a brain who saw it live knows he fouled him with his back arm... shit happens. It's over. Move on.

Quote :

Um, yes it does... if possession is split. Of course, one arm in the back also equals foul.

One hand on ball does not equal jump ball.

Besides, Hansbrough is all over Thompson's back, so it's a foul no matter what.

So many of their wins have come on bad calls. Two of their national championships were won on the other team's fluke fuck-ups, too: Webber calling the time out in the '93 final with 19 seconds left and Georgetown's Fred Brown making a beautiful pass to Worthy in the '82 final with 8 seconds left.

I was so hoping Duke lost.

Then I could say their retarded new jerseys are cursed, since they were 0-2 in them, and losing was a curse by God for this offense upon the eyes.

BC should make it before Maryland, and I'll be pissed if they don't.

Boston College has more wins, and they are one of only two teams in the conference to beat Duke and Chapel Hill.

They aren't 0-2 in them. I think they have been wearing them all year. I remember they wore them against Florida State at Cameron (i was there!) and they won that game.
