The Rangers let the Flames keep Jokinen for another night to help them beat the Flyers...maybe they really haven't seen him play all year?

The only player in this deal I'd really like on my team is Prust. I watch most Flames games and this kid brings it.

i think that was more of sutter's stipulation. I don't think he would have wanted to put anymore new guys into the line up for that game. I'm just glad we don't have kotalik's contract anymore

This is rather shocking to me actually. After following the Devils for nearly a decade now I have never seen them broker for someone of this famed stardom. We've always been the team that develops the great players and trades them for equally great players (Arnie to Dallas for Jamie) or just pissed away amazing talent like Scotty Niedermayer, John Madden and Brian Rafalski.

This should be interesting with Lemaire's system. Hadn't Gaborik publicly spoken out a few times about hating to play the trap. I don't think star offensive talents really thrive in the system that nearly killed hockey. I wonder if he'll learn to back check now?

I'm not happy at all about him being in the Pens division, but in my opinion this is far better than him joining a team like the Flyers or the Caps.

Also, I think Waddell learned his leason after Shero raped him on the Hossa trade. I loved Colby Armstrong, but sending him, Erik Christiensen, and Angelo Esposito was nothing to give up for an offensive talent like Hossa. Throw in a solid fourth liner like Dupuis and that deal just wasn't fair. At the very least he is getting another first rounder in the Kovalchuk deal (technically, Esposito was a first rounder, but I think Shero realized that he might be a bust).

I was at the game last night (13th win in a row!), they were saying NBC is going to pay to have the Pens fly into Andrews AFB. I'm pretty sure the game is happening tomorrow.
