The missed offsides was terrible, but he had the ball. I guess the lesson is to never toss up a "free play" unless you see the flag come out - even then.

I was almost certain that they were going to overturn the (IMO) obvious interception not because it wasn't a catch but because they were going to make up for the blown offsides call. It was a horribly officiated game all around.

There was another game - I think it was the FSU/WVU game yesterday. Three consecutive plays:
1) Missed face mask call
2) Missed horse collar call
3) Missed face mask call

It wasn't even like they were spread out. Back-to-back plays.

They aren't better than us, period. Even our crappy defense could have gotten a turnover from pickney, and I have no doubt that we would have moved easily against them. The only way to know is to play them because they certainly aren't good enough to justify jumping to that conclusion.

As was pointed out, we beat them last times we played them. Last I checked, CUSA fared poorly against crappy competition in the bowl season.

Ruffin McNeill played defensive back (yeah I know it's hard to believe considering how big he is now) for ECU in the late 70s. He got his start as the LBs coach at Clemson in the 80s, and got a masters from there in counseling. He's got a lot of experience (23 years), just none as a head coach until tonight. If TT does hire him then it could be really good b/c the staff that has been so successful over the past decade will stay intact for the most part, but who knows how good he'd be as a head coach.
