At the Red Bulls game. Henry looks alright, Marquez, on the other hand, looks terrible.

I'm happy for Milan. They've shaked and baked this summer and put together a much better squad. It would be nice for soccer in general if they made their way back to the top.

Pato/Ibra/Rondinho/Robinho is a hell of an attacking option for an Italian team.

I watched the San Marino - Netherlands game today. Really surprised the Dutch couldn't put away more than 5 against the worst team in UEFA. ESPN3 seems to have all the Euro 2012 qualifying games live and on replay, so that should anyone with ESPN3 access busy over the EPL holiday break.

I'm not a fan of England's popover shirts, either. I've never liked banded collars. The sealed vent beneath the collar appears to be an incomplete button-down shirt. On the back, the multi-colored St. George's crosses look too much like confetti cake sprinkles.

I was never impressed by Pepe Reina. Luckily for Spain they have Casillas, who is only a year older, and ten times better.

haters gonna hate

Casillas is the best goalkeeper in the world no doubt, but 10x better than Reina? He has the most clean sheets in the Prem like every season

Reina is a good goalkeeper. Just not for Spain. It's got to be hard trying to fight for a spot against someone who is considered by many to be the best goalkeeper in the world. His confidence just looks shattered when he plays for Spain. He's pretty good at Liverpool though.

horrible defending by Milan so far. I still don't know why they didn't buy Simon Kjaer this summer.

bump for Champion's League play tomorrow

Harry is going with 1 up top and 5 midfielders presumably to play for a draw in Germany.

I don't know how to feel about this tactic yet. My first inclination is that because he was burned by the 4-4-2 at Young Boys, he is overcompensating by using this pussy formation. We'll see.

They have good lone strikers though. Crouch is tall and can win the ball in the air and he lays it off really well. Defoe is fast and can run onto loose balls.

Crouch will get the nod. Hat trick hero to get us through to the group stages deserves it. Looks like no VDV or Gallas as Harry is worried about them only getting 4 days rest and Modric out with the leg too.
