I think it was Tim Coffield. Those articles were great - everyone was picking up the technician just for those. He also submitted an excellent article to the Windhover

Wilson spotted in a photo gallery on GoPack.com of the football team receiving an award after an off-season workout yesterday.

I don't think this is a hint that he's necessarily returning in 2011. Besides, this was just a workout, not a football practice. Russell is probably just staying in shape during the off-season.

Since he's not eligible to play on NC State's baseball team, I guess theoretically this spring he'll be available to participate in football drills and practices, including the spring game.

I heard the Rockies are moving next years game to 5 county stadium and Russell only has to play home games. So he can play come back next season and play fball. Also if they make the playoffs the Rockies games will be postponed until after fball season then the playoffs will resume so Russell can play both sports.

after all russell has done for us, i sincerely hope that he tears it up this spring in baseball and it is a no brainer to play baseball. I wish him the best, and I think it is clear that his best shot to make the major professional level is in baseball. Although I am not a Rockies fan, I would love to see him get a starting job sometime in the future. Best of luck!

seems pretty cut and dry to me, Glennon is the man going forward unless Russell has a Brett Favre moment. Best of luck to Wilson in the future, I may become a rockies fan if he ever cracks the big leagues. Also, I am happy that Glennon has ample amount of time now to focus on being the #1 guy

Did anyone really expect TOB to say anything other than what he said?

I mean did you expect him to say "I sure hope Wilson comes back, he is awesome!"?
Of course the team is going to prepare this spring with Glennon as #1. If Wilson comes back in August, I would bet the house that he starts.

I wouldn't say my goodbyes to Wilson until it comes out of his mouth that he isn't coming back.

Yea I definitely did not get the vibe when I read the full interview that TOB was saying for sure that RW is gone.

Sounded more like, "At this point we dont know what Wilson is going to do, so we are going to move forward assuming MG is our starter."

I would say it's a dark day in NC State sports because our basketball teams sucks and just lost at home to VaTech and Wilson is gone...but then I remembered that every day is a dark day in NC State sports.
