that was terrible. And that's why you can't play Mullens for extended minutes. He just doesn't create net possessions because he can't rebound. 1/12/2012 10:40:47 PM |

Pretty frustrating team, we just have a giant gaping hole at center as always.
That's another reason why we shouldn't have traded two elite rebounders (Wallace and chandler) for nothing 1/13/2012 1:32:53 AM |

Looks like all my whining before/after the draft about us not taking Kawhi Leonard was justified.
Dude is already a stud, and we're stuck with Kemba.
Quote : | "Kemba looks like a 9.5 ppg, 40% FG type rookie to me. " |
Actual: 9.5 ppg, 34.9% FG, with an adjusted FG% of 39%. It's like I can see the future sometimes
Quote : | "Holy shit I still like biyombo but I think you have to take kahwi his stats are ridiculous
25% dreb and 12% oreb from a sf???? He's the next Marion or Wallace, you can't pass up a sure thing" |
Quote : | "Kahwi looks like a future star, Faried looks really solid, and Biyombo is a total hit/miss pick but he looks worth the risk.
We could use a backup PG so Kemba Walker makes some sense but it's pretty stupid to waste a lottery pick on a backup PG when there's so much frontcourt talent available and we have glaring holes there." |
Quote : | "Kemba pick stinks especially with legit talent like Leonard and faried available.
In the past 6 seasons weve spent 3 top ten picks on guys who are under 6 feet. That would barely be acceptable for a wnba team " |

They started Kemba and Augustin in the back court tonight along with Henderson. That's a tiny TINY back court, but at least it gives us a chance to score some points.
Also started Tyrus and Mullens, no Diaw. Good call Silas. 1/14/2012 10:30:55 PM |

terrific we really needed a win. I'm glad he was able to put together his first decent game against a team starting Charles Jenkins and featuring Nate Robinson.
Don't get me wrong, I want him to develop into a decent player it just seems unlikely.

i like how they mortgaged the future to build a playoff team and immediately after getting a playoff team they dismantled it and didn't ask for anything good in return for their assets.
They are going to end up hemmorhaging money these next two seasons, who in the hell is going to buy tickets to this debacle?
Why is Cory Higgins playing 10 minutes a game???
At one point the lineup last night was Higgins, Henderson, Najera, Brown, and Mullens.
I'm not certain that team could win the Big East. 1/25/2012 10:08:15 AM |

Slave Famous Become Wrath 34079 Posts user info edit post |
Yeah the East is shit beyond Chicago and Miami. Indy, Philly and Atlanta are solid, but Boston's too old, New York's too selfish, and Orlando will tank whenever they trade Dwight. If the conference finals were anything but Bulls vs Heat, I'd be shocked. 1/26/2012 11:24:48 AM |

^^ The past few years, I felt the East was finally starting to make up some ground on the West after so many years of being complete shit and with the addition of some of the Western talent (like Stoudamire, Melo, etc), but good God this year this eastern conference is as bad as I can remember. Literally only two teams with any shot of going to the finals unless the Magic hangs onto Dwight. 1/26/2012 12:02:46 PM |

^ I am not an NBA fan and don't really give a shit about the stats like you and some of the other guys on here. Amare and Melo were "stars" that joined the Eastern conference which should have at least made the Knicks less shitty. Guess not. Also neither is a random player as you claim.
Deron Williams is another guy that went East without making much of a difference (yet).
It is just unfathomable how truly awful the East is this year.

Philly would just be another middle of the pack team in the West, same with Atlanta. Neither has any shot of winning the East. 1/27/2012 8:52:19 AM |
face All American 8503 Posts user info edit post |
I'm not really sure what we're arguing here.
The East is virtually .500 against the West this season.
To say Philly isn't any good when they have the best differential in the league despite missing their center for several games is sorta silly.
Iguodala, Hawes, and Meeks are killing it. Brand is nearly back to his old form (though he might wear down over the season). Some guy named Vucevic looks like a future all star. And Young, Turner, and Williams are playing well. If Jrue Holiday ever gets going (i think he will) this team has a chance to win it all.
They will run into the same problem Chicago and SAS did last year though. Teams with great depth have an advantage during the regular season that gets mitigated in the playoffs when teams shorten their bench.
On the flip side Orlando will get better as they shorten their bench and concentrate the minutes between their stars Howard, Anderson, Redick, and Turkoglu.
Atlanta's historical weakness was having a bench full of 12th men and no starting PG. Now they have Teague starring and T-Mac playing like a star again off the bench. Even Radmanovic is having a good season. Oh yeah, and Marvin Williams finally got good this season. With Horford they'd be dangerous.
If the Celtics ever stop screwing around and play Stiemsma instead of Jermaine O'Neal's corpse they'll be back in the playoff mix. 1/27/2012 9:50:10 AM |
