Not totally into the new Lower Dens yet. I like sides A & D but the middle gets a little snoozy.

Not sure I mentioned this, but the new Screaming Females is awesome. It has the power of their other stuff but the riffs (and bass especially) are inching toward classic Smashing Pumpkins territory.

Also, the St. Vincent RSD single is fantastic.

Also, the production on the Best Coast album isn't an issue. The three or four songs that are actually good sound fine. Not even lo-fi production would help the rest.

It's superbly better than Teen Dream as a whole, and that got a 9.0. Maybe 9.4, but no way under 9.

Although Walk in the Park or whatever is my favorite song of theirs...
