They somehow made spawning worse. You kill someone and sometimes they respawn just a few feet away from you to kill you, or you walk by an empty space and turn to go another way but suddenly as you turn your back its no longer empty and you get shot from behind by 3 dudes who just spawned behind you

My scores have been slowly but surely improving. Not feeling screwed by the connection quite as much. Also have done surprisingly well in Ground War of all things. Mostly play the Nuketown playlist though. Playing solo not as much fun as a full mount. however, I think that playing with a party may be what craps out my connection.

Will be looking to play tonight. Let's rally for one more go at this game.

^^the spawn system is still the overall flaw, but I think part of that is because of the small map sizes they've built around this game. As soon as one team wins the initial surge in the middle the losing team's spawn is flipped to the opposite end. If you are one of those slower non rushing players on the winning side it's only a matter of time before you are stumbled upon from behind by someone who just respawned.

it's a hard balance. I play solo a lot, mostly because my friends don't like the game like a lot of you. So i have to consciously stay just close enough to my teammates to not get over run by respawners, but still separated enough to play my own game. I've also started to double back a lot more often. If I clear an area and get two or more kills I either abandon the area completely and retreat or retrace my steps back the way I came.

It's unfortunate, having to play against the system and not just the other team but so it goes. I think i'm most disappointed in the guns. They just aren't as fun this time around and there isn't much incentive to try them all. The map sizes have made LMGs useless. Those are something I used a lot of in MW3. I'm debating on going back to MW3 for awhile, but none of my friends play it anymore and that game was almost necessary to play with a mount.

^^ I have a lot more issues playing with a party than solo. I usually run 2:1 kd by myself but fall to a 1:1 or worse when I'm in a party. I don't know if its my connection or if I just end up trying harder and messing up though. I definitely have noticed the spawns being worse lately too though.

eh, some nights it is perfectly fine, handling just like the first black ops. Other nights, like last night, I play for 10 minutes and say fuck it. Just do not understand at all.

i think they've made this game really hard to find out who is an elite player. especially in the lobby, and with this balanced skill match making BS. it's almost impossible to find a player's overall K without digging into 6 levels of profile menus. and Prestige means absolutely nothing with the the amount of FFA boosting that goes on now. oh, you are a Prestige Master but you go 6-18 in every match we play? that makes a ton of sense.

i've got a buddy who's probably one of the top players on MW3 for the PS3 in the country and he barely touches BLOPS2 unless it's zombies. just no real incentive for him to play, no recognition.

Haha that's actually a great idea. My kd was only going to be around 1.1 or 1.2 anyway. Riot Shield, Grenadier, Crossbow setup sounds good for now.

i have my preferences set to only connect to matches with "Best" connection. that being said, host compensation is still around and i think it's inevitable as long as COD continues to have theater modes and all the other unnecessary BS.

Host compensation, lag, is improved but still present. After you play enough you can tell when you arent getting the kills you should, and are getting killed when you shouldn't. I usually just back out of those and can pretty quickly find games where I have no problems. It's definitely better than it was.

Man...I played last night for the first time in about two weeks. I played with a buddy of mine on the 360 who lives in VA (I'm in WA).

WORST.

GAME.

EVER.

I'm not sure what it was. Maybe I was tired. Maybe I was playing with players with a lot more experience with the game than I. Whatever it was, I was horrible. The only fun I had was because I was playing with my buddy. Had I not been, I am sure I would have been screaming into the mic, I was so upset.

Knives are broken.
Bullets are broken.

I don't know any of the weapons.
I don't know any of the maps.

I liked MW3.
I liked BLOPS1.

I like Halo3.

THIS GAME SUCKS.

For those who are interested, COD4 and W@W (The superior COD games) are still up and now with less modded lobbies.

When modders do join a lobby, I just talk shit, end the game as host, then it migrates host to someone in my squad, I rejoin, they end the game as host, talk shit, ect... eventually the modders leave the lobby. Xbox Live Justice.

Also... obligatory: Black Ops sucks, MW3 sucks... random lag dice-rolling aim assist out of sync with character model lag compensation no skill spray and pray weapons cluster fuck maps game made for noobs by noobs

I just started back playing after a 2 month hiatus, and its grew on me. I play exclusively with snipers and pistols now, and that makes the game fell so refreshing to me since I did not use any of them before I quit. I also play with a buddy of mine, and it helps make me more interested in playing.
