Lebron has 16 points on 8/10 shooting through one against OKC. He's really been turning it up these last few games. He might have a 40-10-10 kind of game tonight.

Y'all are basically quoting me word for word when shoot brought this up. Why would a guy like Wade go out there and bust his ass on aging knees for playoff positioning. Just be ready when the real season starts.

The Heat have taken a look at Pop's strategy and wised up. The Pacers trying to "win" the regular season just shows their immaturity as an elite club in the association.

hold up hold up. everyone is acting like the Heat are world beaters. teams have taken them to game sevens over and over again. they can be beaten. the Pacers are trying to lock Home court which imo they need to do.

the Heat have also had longer seasons the past 3 years (3 straight Finals appearances) than any other team

they're still gonna be tired come June

Oh, I agree they need home court if they want to beat Miami, but I think they're still overdoing it in the East. All they have to do is stay 1 game ahead of Miami. The fact that they can't really rest anybody while squeeking out wins in the eastern conference has to be worrisome. Their offense is almost as bad as their defense is good. If Miami is able to continue resting Wade and if they can keep Oden healthy enough to play 8-10 quality minutes a game in the playoffs they'll make it to a 4th consecutive finals.

Think miami will want more than 8-10 minutes from oden for the indiana series. I expect to see him posting up against hibbert as much as possible.

The Heat literally are world beaters. They're the 2x defending world champions.

I don't think anyone believes the Heat are unbeatable this year. But it's also a natural give them the benefit of the doubt knowing that they've taken everyone's best shot for 3+ years now in both the regular and postseason while still coming out on top. Not to mention they have a difference-maker in the best player in the game, and most likely the best player of this generation, with a championship pedigree, suiting up for them.

I think the Pacers need homecourt, but I also think they're overvaluing it. If Miami goes in there and wins game one then that plan is shot to hell for months of unnecessary grinding.

they don't need home court. they just need to learn how to leave the best defender in the world on the court when they need 1 last stop to win.

I think he was referring to Hibbert not being in after a timeout in Game 6 last year.

he cant be talking about him. I saw Roy Hibbert's ass getting rocked to sleep by Chris Anderson in that series. he must be talking about David West where I strongly disagree on the world's best defender imo

Yeah, Hibbert doesn't and really probably can't play more than 30-32 minutes a game. If Oden can get in there, bang a bit, grab some rebounds, make Hibbert work, and ideally make Hibbert give away a foul or two it means that Hibbert isn't free to roam the lane and protect the rim.

If you make Hibbert ineffective for 1 or 2 games Miami walks through Indiana and straight into the finals.

Oden isn't even the best center on the Heat...yet.

Why would they use that many minutes on him?

Clips needed another big even with the addition of Davis. They also really need JJ Reddick back before the playoffs.

Also, how worried are the Pacers that they may not be able to hang onto the 1 seed in the East?

Also heard the Clippers might pick up Ron Artest, who the Knicks dropped the other day. Not really sure what that would accomplish, aside from adding another former Laker to the team.

Clips are going to need some stops in the playoffs. Artest helps with that greatly.

my god. them Knicks..

Carmelo played the game of his life against the Mavericks and played excellent defense and Dirk still did his awkward ass Dirk shot at the buzzer to win. Dirk said it was his ugliest buzzer beater ever and he has only had 3 buzzer beaters in 12 yrs

on top of that Raymond Felton gets arrested on gun chargers. REYMOND FELTON. what beef does he have in the streets?

the Knicks are like 5 spots out of the playoffs in the awful eastern conference I believe. unreal.

they did it to themselves with so many stupid signings over the years. trading for bargnani? The guy who has literally been the worst player in the entire NBA over the last five years?

The guy who has singlehandedly kept the Raptors out of the playoffs every year!?

"But he'll be a great stretch 4!" said Knicks fans, not realizing that Carmelo Anthony is the best 4 they have (I know, I know, he's nominally a SF, but he played PF brilliantly in two Olympics and can do it in today's bigs-deficient NBA just fine)

8/8 from 3. He's really done a phenomenal job turning the one real weakness in his game into a relative strength. He's still not a great 3 pt. shooter, but he's better than league average.

if he gets 60, he'll be the second player the Bobcats have allowed to score 60 or more this season

which is odd, because they are actually a good defensive team this year

61. I'm assuming that's it for him as the Heat are up 17 with only about 1:30 left.

Dude is just ridiculous. 61 points on 22/33 shooting. 8/10 from 3 and 9/12 from the line. Oh plus 7 boards and 5 assists.

Sucks for Al Jefferson that his near 40/20 game is going to go almost completely unnoticed.

Don't you guys think his shooting and moves are so ugly tho powerful?
He can't compare to Jordan yet. On the court, he's just like a thick fat snake, struggling to put the ball into the basket. I haven't seen any other player playing so disgusting like him.

He was waiving off the coaches last night when they wanted to bench him with the game in hand. Hope he doesn't get tired in the playoffs since he's trying to pad his stats against the Bobcats in the regular season.

Sometimes I forget how much everyone else on Miami sucks outside of James, Wade, and Bosh. It's amazing how much of the load those guys carry. I mean honestly, Norris Cole playing that many minutes makes me sad.

Those guys always end up stepping it up in the playoffs, however. Battier had a big game 7 (I think). The last two finals series, either Cole or Chalmers will have solid games....and of course there's Allen.

The bottom line is that all those guys have to do is hit wide open threes. And there's enough of them that if one isn't hitting, someone else will step up. It's not like they just have Ralston Turner.
