I mean, we basically played not to get blown out. We never really made an effort to actually win the game. We had to start full court pressure and running quicker offense with about 5 minutes left to actually have a shot. All we did was make the loss look not quite as bad, but the game was over a while ago.

I hate to be negative...yes we did play with fight in the second half. And it was too little too late. But we've blown out at other times this season without showing much fight. We've had a couple of those "lose by 30 and jog to the locker room" already this season.

Barber was 3/11 in the first half. Maybe he shouldn't have attempted 11 shots as the starting point guard.

But my main criticism is not hauling ass up court with 2 minutes left when the game was still kind of (not really) possible to win

I agree. I like Cat. But him shooting that many times in the first half is either a sign of him forcing shit or the offense being completely inept (and forcing him to take things into his own hands). Combination of both today.

A few of his misses I really didn't have a problem with.

The whole team lacked movement. But even during our 3 game win streak he seems to settle for too many 18 foot jumpers with 27 left on the shot clock. I don't mind him driving to the hoop and getting blocked as much as forcing long jumpers.

Yep my biggest gripe with Cat is that he has not shown the ability to consistently knock down deep jumpers, yet he continues to take them. And often times those shots are early in the shot clock...times where we could've had much better looks
