my top 3 RBs in my big money league are Jamaal Charles, Knowshon Moreno and Ryan Mathews. If they all miss their games next week, I'll have to roll with Donald Brown and Jonathan Stewart as my starting RBs 9/15/2014 7:57:00 AM |

luckily the only real injury for me in my two leagues has been eddie lacy...and in the grand scheme, that was not terribly significant.
And yet I'm looking at an 0-2 start in both leagues 9/15/2014 2:33:29 PM |

Up by 1 in this crazy league that has IDPs and Punters. His team is done, all I have is the punter left. Here is the punter scoring:
Punting
Punts Inside the 10 (PT10) 2 Punts Inside the 20 (PT20) 1 Blocked Punts (PTB) -2 Fair Catches (PTFC) 1 Punt Average 44.0+ (PTA44) 3 Punt Average 42.0-43.9 (PTA42) 2 Punt Average 40.0-41.9 (PTA40) 1 Punt Average 33.9 or less (PTA33) -1
I have the Eagles punter, Donnie Jones. I assume points are a tiebreaker somewhere down the line, and there is always the possibility of scoring errors that could affect a point or 2... Should I bench the punter or let it ride? If there was no penalty for a shitty punting average, I'd just keep him out there no questions.
Let it ride, or bench the Punter?? Any good resources that show possible fantasy scoring errors?

I feel like they always recalculate points between Monday and Tuesday.
Would suck if he sits his punter and ends up tying or even losing because a player changes points.
If it was 5+ points I'd sit him, 1 point is a bit dicey unless you're convinced the points won't shift. 9/15/2014 3:41:43 PM |

Yes, cede the starting job to Bradshaw. I'd love to have him as a consistent option in mine lineup. I started him in my flex this week because or Doug Martin not playing this week.
If he's getting 20 touches a game in a PPR league it would be awesome. 9/15/2014 8:58:49 PM |

Damn it Indy, stop giving the ball to Richardson. Bradshaw is clearly the better runner and pass catcher, oh and TRich has already put the ball on the ground in the redzone once already, just lucky Wayne recovered it.

What do you think the NFL will do in the AP situation?
I was offered a trade tonight in a non-ppr league:
I give (my other RBs are Forte, Hyde, Matthews) Gio Bernard Terrance West
I get: AP Matt Asiata
(disclaimer: Me having or not having AP on my fantasy football team in no way shows my support of AP or lack of concern of child abuse)
thoughts?

I think Minnesota is going to let the legal system play out and I expect the league will as well. He could get a couple of games but I doubt he's gone for more than the next 3 weeks max. Conceivably he could be done for the year, but that seems highly unlikely. Next year could be another story, so consider that if you're in a keeper league.
I'd do it assuming you have a good WR option for your flex spot in the short term.
Bernard's value in a non-ppr league is not great. West will still be in a timeshare with Tate when he comes back so you aren't giving up too much value.
Presumably you go from starting Forte, Matthews/Gio, and flex of West to starting Forte, AP/Asiata, and a WR at flex until Matthews comes back. Problematically Asiata kind of sucks and has not been all that productive in the past, last week was not the norm for him and you're hoping Matthews is back in a month.
It's a pretty substantial upside move if AP doesn't miss more than a handful of games now and is available to carry you through fantasy playoffs. It's a hell of a lot of risk though and depend on the composition of the rest of your team and how consistent your WRs are. 9/15/2014 9:29:58 PM |

Eked out a 2 point win tonight thanks to that Foles to Maclin TD; I have both so it brought me back from the dead. My opponent had Vinateri, so if the Colts had won by a FG rather than the Iggles, I'd have lost. Good times...
I'm pretty far down the waiver pecking order since I'm 2-0 but I hope to get K Davis, and if he's gone, trying to pick up Woodhead. Looking for bench depth as I'm set at starting RB (Forte, Bell) but the only other one on my roster is Sankey. My only injury so far is RGIII who was my backup anyway. Did a spot add/drop to get Santonio Holmes when I thought Jeffery was out, dropping him and would like to either get back James Jones or pick up Kirk Cousins to stash for Foles' bye week. 9/16/2014 2:15:18 AM |

Trade offer: I give Emmanuel Sanders and Pierre Thomas for Arian Foster....thoughts?
My Team (we start 2 RB, 2 WR and Flex):
QB: Stafford RB: McCoy, Gio Bernard, A. Ellington, P. Thomas, Andre Williams WR: B. Marshall, E. Sanders, C. Patterson, E. Decker, J. Gordon TE: Martellus Bennett
I'm thinking Sanders value might drop when Welker comes back, so it's possibly as high as it will get? I'm also worried about Foster holding up long-term though. What to do? 9/16/2014 9:39:51 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |

No, standard league 9/16/2014 9:45:56 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
I'd say it's worth it. The guy probably thinks P. Thomas is going to get all the carries with Ingram out, but I think he'll be used the exact same way he is now with Robinson taking Ingram's carries. Without it being a PPR, not a huge fan of Thomas. And you're right, with Welker back, less touches for Sanders.
Foster has looked great so far, but not sure if he'll keep it up with the volume, but he's at least a potential top 10 RB, don't think there is much potential in Sanders being a top 10 WR without serious injuries and you already have good WR options. 9/16/2014 10:30:02 AM |
chipendave All American 634 Posts user info edit post |
So I made the trade. My lineup now looks like this (standard scoring, 2 RB, 2 WR and a flex);
QB: Stafford, C. Palmer RB: McCoy, Bernard, A. Foster, A. Ellington, Andre Williams WR: B. Marshall, C. Patterson, E. Decker, J. Gordon TE: M. Bennett, Ladarius Green (trying to switch Green for either Kelce or Niles Paul via waiver) DEF: Houston K: M. Bryant
I have one available roster spot and we are limited to 5 each of RB's and WR's. The best available WR's are Greg Jennings, Cecil Shorts, Markus Wheaton and maybe Sanu.
Which of those should I get, or would you go another route and pick up another available position? 9/16/2014 2:34:18 PM |
JP All American 16807 Posts user info edit post |
^I'd say Wheaton long term, Sanu for at least this week since AJ Green could be out, then Jennings, Shorts. BTW, do you have to have two TEs? I guess if you are limited to 5 RBs & WRs it makes sense you'd have two. 9/16/2014 3:13:19 PM |

that would be a tough one for me. feels weird to say, but i'd almost consider both bell and bush, despite them sharing the load. in the end I wouldn't do that though since you shouldnt go with both guys at the same time. i'm not sure, but to me it breaks down to: 1. either bush or bell. both good options, def involved in passing. but both play for DET 2. either gore or west. decent enough options, not involved much in passing game though. and tough DEF matchups 9/17/2014 9:38:24 AM |

^That's kinda what I'm thinking. My draft position (and obviously my own strategy) really screwed me on RBs. Picking 10th (in a 10 team league) and 11th the top RBs were all gone and I felt like it'd be reaching too early to go for somebody like Arian Foster or Montee Ball or whoever. So I went WR/WR. But by the time it snakes back around to me in the 3rd/4th round it's pretty slim pickings at RB. 9/17/2014 10:14:12 AM |

I've been discussing a potential trade with a coworker. he needs a TE, and is interested in one of my TE, either Reed or Kelce.
I'm thinking of offering him a 2-for-1, by sending him a TE and one of my useful WR (Fitz, R.White, Crabtree), hoping for a WR upgrade from him. He's got Cobb, Maclin, Wayne and WElker. I think the only obvious upgrade for me would be Cobb. not sure he'd go for this, but if you structured this deal, what do you think is realistic and a benefit to both teams? Reed and White for Cobb? or is that a no go
is cobb so much of an asset that I could tell him Reed + his choice of WR?

Also, I agree about Rainey. Asiata didn't do shit except that 1 TD catch...which was good enough for a nice fantasy day. But I wouldn't be thrilled about starting a guy that rushed for 36 yards on 13 carries last week. 9/17/2014 7:36:15 PM |

Maybe work out a 2-for-2 trade as a hedge against getting trade-raped in case Peterson comes back sooner rather than later? Who the hell knows what his status will be from one week to the next? That one is a tough call.
Here's my dilemma: I need a starting caliber running back, and I am over-stocked at WR. A guy offered me Reggie Bush for James Jones. Do I take it? 0.5 PPR. 9/17/2014 8:50:01 PM |
