So what do you guys think of Pence having to cast the winning vote on DeVos? I'm not a huge fan the Department of Education, but if we're going to have that department around, I really don't want her at the helm. 2/5/2017 5:31:41 PM |

Republicans believe pretty strongly in the gov't, just a different emphasis than liberals.
Libertarians, however, do not trust the gov't, and for good reason. 2/5/2017 9:15:51 PM |

Republican voters, based on polls, value government but republican politicians seem primarily interested in giving wealth to the rich at the cost of the environment and poor/middle class. 2/5/2017 10:49:24 PM |

I think the Democrats changed the rules about confirmations during the Obama administration because Republicans were obstructing Obama's federal judge nominations. As a result the Democrats made it easier for Republicans to confirm cabinet members. I believe that a filibuster used to be possible during confirmation proceedings, but not anymore. 2/8/2017 1:12:48 PM |

If insider trading laws had any teeth this asshole would be in prison. No wonder he had to bullshit his Ethics forms. It's no wonder Congress has so much trouble passing laws that might reduce medical good costs or even create more competition when asshats like Tom Price are running defense so they can skim up profits in stocks. Tom Price should be exhibit A on the clusterfuck that is the nexus of our medical and political systems. Which is why it makes perfect sense that the GOP is gonna fight like hell to make him Sec of HHS, because "SWAMP THE DRAIN!!!!" 2/8/2017 4:08:51 PM |

How stupid must Flynn be to call the Russian ambassador who he must know is being wiretapped? Flynn has been in and out of relatively high up intelligence circles for years now. Hell, he has probably personally authorized tapping ambassadors at some point in his career. Then when he was caught, and knew he was caught, and probably knew there would be a transcript, He just straight up lied. Stupidity? Arrogance? Complicity in something bigger and more sinister?

My thoughts exactly.
However, after hate-reading through some of the comments sections, I've seen a lot of this spin/deflection:
Quote : | "Regarding General Flynn, we've just seen a war hero driven out of the National Security Adviser position with threats of using a 1799, yes that's right, a 1799 law that has NEVER BEEN USED TO PROSECUTE ANYONE! I'm sick over this one. Why did no one push back? Absolutely fucking unbelievable." |

^did he violate the Logan Act by discussing US policy changes prior to him becoming the acting ambassador?
Quote : | "The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that details the fine and/or imprisonment of unauthorized citizens who negotiate with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States. It was intended to prevent the undermining of the government's position.[2] The Act was passed following George Logan's unauthorized negotiations with France in 1798, and was signed into law by President John Adams on January 30, 1799. The Act was last amended in 1994, and violation of the Logan Act is a felony." |

The most common GOP responses I'm seeing to any criticism of Trump's disastrous tenure thus far is to try and create some lame false equivalency or offer up a two-wrongs-make-a-right comparison. Sad! 2/15/2017 9:48:55 PM |

I don't think the Bush admin was spying on him, nor do I bellieve they would have leaked that info to the press.
Remember, the Obama admin went crazygonuts for abusing its powers to collect data on americans who didn't agree with its policies...same people are still there doing it because they still refuse to accept that DJT cleaned Hillary's clock.
