Hayes had some turnovers against the pressure. So it seems like we went to Shak down the stretch. I don’t have a huge problem with that. But Hayes seems much calmer. Shak can be really good but sometimes too fast and not as good a facilitator as Hayes. Mostly just disappointed with Daniels throwing the game away multiple times. Just terrible passing down the stretch from him.

Also Funderburk tipping in a shot for Clemson...and then the game going to OT.

^i actually wouldn’t have minded seeing DD drive and be more aggressive during our 8 minute scoring drought. But yeah, I agree. It’s a fine line between him taking over and him doing way too much.

It was the only video link I could find on short notice Even if there was contact on the hip, it was an absolutely atrocious call given the way the game was officiated up to that point.

My beef with the offense is not so much about Daniels. It’s about not attacking their bigs in foul trouble (Simms and BaerHe both had 4 for like 3 min and then the entire OT). We have two dominant big men when we get it low in the post. Unfortunately they play the whole game setting high screens and then rolling to the rim with guards who can’t ever find them.

I don't get what we are doing on defense. Like shooters are wide open on catches all night so I guess we are clogging the paint right? then even at the end of the game when they need a 3 absolutely, we sag the paint to prevent the inside bucket and give the guy who has torched us a wide open 3?

ok so we are comitted to making them shoot 3s?

but then in ot when we need a stop and they go iso inside, we let them just play one on one in the paint and back down slowly with three dribbles but help never comes...three times in a row

Shak had some big dick defense at the end of regulation, then DD got tunnel vision when it was time to finish out the game. Basketball is a game of runs, we played ok for the first 40 minutes but shut the bed when it mattered.

that one 3 was in transition but clemson routinely got wide open looks all night in the halfcourt. At one point, it looked like we were in a 1-2-2 intentionally recovering to shooters on the catch. Then, suddenly when we were down, we got the "up by 3" defense where no one is helping in the paint.
