I think it’s a good sign that Tepper didn’t ultimately go for a flashy hire like he did with Rhule, and I’m glad it wasn’t a retread-hire (I wouldn’t count Vrabel as a retread hire)

Rookie QB's are relatively cheap compared to bonafide NFL QBs - Young has the 25th highest cap hit of QBs. But 1st overall picks are not cheap - Young has the 8th highest cap hit on the Panthers.

But yeah they aren't getting rid of young after next year no matter how bad he is. Unless they want to package more assets with him to get another team to take him? Like they aren't going to magically find another team as dumb as themselves who will trade a pick for a bad QB (Darnold)
