I like the moss covered zombie. Indicates that unless you put something through their brain, they don't die

I just found out that Melissa McBride, who plays Carol Peletier, lives a few doors down from me.

when you say " lives a few doors down" do you really mean "across town" and "in a totally different city"?

Just finished the Season 3 finale and had no problem with it. Cliffhangers annoy me anyways.

No problem with Rick going back and forth. IMO, it makes perfect sense. Wife gives birth to baby that might not be his, wife dies, son is a cold-blooded killer, runs into crazy guy who saves his life....who wouldn't go back and forth in those situations? Especially when you throw in the zombie apocalyptic world they're living in.

I also don't have an issue with the "war". It pretty much highlights what should have happened. The Governor took a bunch of noobs and they shit their pants when zombies, flash bombs, and people with full-on riot gear started shooting at them. A drawn out battle might have been nice, but it would have just been a ton of shooting, a lot of missing, and insignificant characters dying. I guess I might have been a little let-down with the short confrontation, but the Governor gunning down all of his people more than made up for it. I thought that was awesome.

Definitely looking forward to the next season. It's not the best show on TV, but its still pretty entertaining. And Carl is the devil child. Chucky...all grown up and human.

I also liked season 3

That said, the previews of season 4 seemed kinda meh to me. As dumb as it sounds, maybe the music in the trailer just didn't seem to fit. Either way, it seems like most of season 4 is still set in the prison, which seems like the pace is too slow.

Meh...I think it seemed slow this past season because there were only a few people there and limited zombie outbreaks. They've now added about 30 women and children and lot more zombies it seems. I imagine that will make it a bit more fast paced.

I actually liked the trailer; thought the music went well. They really need to focus on characters and not set pieces. Hopefully we will get some better characters (even if its a slow process).

Season 3 finale and the season sucked for these reasons:

Build up to a war that was lame.

The season was SUPER slow then it all culminated in the finale and went wayyyy too fast and had ridiculous timing scenarios.

Not enough zombies attacking...and changing how they attack.

To me, it was a stupid finale, to me.

I'm all for more zombies, but I don't see the logic in developing a companion series when one has had trouble delivering on the original. It makes sense from a monetary/ratings standpoint, but they have demonstrated that they can do right by this franchise.

i'm excited because they can finally write episodes without being tied (however loosely) to the comic characters/events.

"AMC’s award-winning The Walking Dead webisode series returns to amc.com today with three new installments. The Walking Dead: The Oath tells the story of the lone survivors of a massive walker-attack, Paul (Wyatt Russell, Cowboys and Aliens) and Karina (Ashley Bell, The Last Exorcism), who speed across the countryside, frantically searching for an aid-station as one of them slowly bleeds out from a wound. Finally coming upon a hospital that has not been overrun at first feels like a blessing, but could soon turn to misfortune, as a seemingly benevolent doctor (Ellen Greene, Little Shop of Horrors) may hide a darker agenda."

Im tempted to not watch any of this season and just DVR it...and if I hear people saying its good i will watch it...otherwise, I dont want to waste my time on a shitty season like the last one.

It will be fine as long as they move away from the prison at some point this season. The prison was old about halfway through last season.

I did read where unfortunately, the governor is still going to be lurking around.

that last "showdown" was terrible.

I cant stand the Govnah. Carl.

Hopefully the new cast helps with new storylines and introduces new interesting characters.

Ahh yes, reminded yet again of the stupid fucking plot that makes no attempt to explain why the whole world magically got infected instantaneously.

Better effects this season though. That's nice. I also liked crazy lady but I would have liked it more if she was leading rick to a cannibal camp or something.

Yes, completely unnoticed by the night sentries (presumably present right, this is the zombie apocalypse and now they have a shitload of people) he waddles off to the bathroom to die and then become a zombie. Presto! Conflict!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a closed-off group of people no longer be receiving new communicable diseases (cold, flu, etc)?

What diseases (other than GI problems related to improper sewage handling) did early colonists encounter?

Yeah when the pig was sick, figured there was probably going to be something to it. But that kid definitely went from looking 100% healthy to dead in just matter of a day or two.

Also wondered why no one was on look-out at night, not sure I could sleep if no one was on watch.

You'd think they'd be super paranoid about anyone dying of anything, given the circumstances too. The little nerd would have been strapped to a gurney the moment his illness got worse than the sniffles.
