Newcastle about to sell Kevin Nolan to West Ham. They're saying Guitierrez and Barton are on their ways out, too. The fuck is goin on there?

That team is a mess. I have NO idea what the hell they are thinking. Selling their best player to a Championship team? Crazy.

Good ol Mike Ashley. If he wants to give us Enrique on the cheap, we won't mind.

Next season's fixtures are out...

First 5 games for the big teams:

Arsenal: Newcastle, Liverpool, United, Swansea, Blackburn

Spurs: Everton, United, City, Wolves, Liverpool

United: West Brom, Spurs, Arsenal, Bolton, Chelsea

Liverpool: Sunderland, Arsenal, Bolton, Stoke, Spurs

Chelsea: Stoke, West Brom, Norwich, Sunderland, United

City: Swansea, Bolton, Spurs, Wigan, Fulham

I think the next season's thread should be made by a fan of the champions. Let's start a TWW Soccer Losers tradition

New Spurs home kit for 11/12. I was a fan of the old ones but I think these will grow on me. Will look a lot better with their sponsor on the front, I think. I like simple, classic kits so this looks pretty good to me. Aren't these the ones with all the bio-sensors built into the shirt as well?

Yeah, it's a good thing the club usually wins when a player wants to leave.

What Chelsea did was pretty much the legal way of tapping up, and Modric has said that he's open to leaving since then.

imo, he will eventually officially say he wants to leave.

I thought he already did say he wanted to leave?

Regardless, he's worth a damn sight more than Jordan Henderson, so Roman needs to break off some $$. If he can pay 50 million for fucking Fernando one-goal Torres, he can drop 35+ on Modric.

^ u right, if Levy would ever be convinced to sell, it would have to be an overpay of serious magnitude to even consider it at this point given his statements.

I still think he'll be in a Tottenham shirt when they open camp in a few weeks though.

Sounds like City just offered something ridiculous for Bale along the lines of Adebayor + Johnson + 30mil. That one Levy might just have to think long and hard about if that is true...

Bale ain't worth an Adebayor, never mind him plus Johnson and 30 million. Spurs better hop all over that shit.

Look at the numbers. Adebayor did more in less games. When he's not being an incorrigible shit, Adebayor isn't a bad player. Bale managed to score a hat trick against a shit Inter side, and volley home a stunner against a shit PL side, and all of a sudden he's the truth? Naw. Let's be real.

I mean, you might think I'm trolling here, but I'm not. I really don't rate the kid AT ALL. And he won't progress at City, either. How many young players have gone there and gotten better because of the coaching? Certainly not Balotelli. Johnson, no. Milner, no (he's actually regressed IMO). Micah Richards? No.

[Edited on June 20, 2011 at 8:33 AM. Reason : but if City want to throw stupid money at him, let them. Spurs'll get the better deal.]

Yeah but how often does that happen?

I'll agree that Bale is overrated as hell (even though I think he was a bit more valuable than just a hat trick and a wonder goal) and I too would jump at Adebayor/Johnson/30m but there's no way I'd say Adebayor is more valuable than Bale straight up.

I really like Johnson though, I'd love to see him go somewhere where he can get consistent first team minutes and on a team that isn't annoying as fuck.

Adebayor = striker, and Spurs don't have shit there
Johnson = basically Bale with a little less pace and perhaps better technical ability
£30 mil = probably a fair price for Bale to begin with

I've never heard anything about this. Sounds like 'arry's Pipe Dreams.

Point to the part where I thought that trade would disadvantage Spurs.

P.S. I revel in the misfortunes of any club that finishes above Everton in the table. Don't cry if I'm picking on your club. I think I've made clear my distaste for Man U and Liverpool plenty of times on this board.
