a parent was upset about her child getting an "N"- needs improvement for math instead of an "S"- satisfactory.

the mom brought her husband and other child and wanted to conference with me IN FRONT OF MY STUDENT where she told me that not only do I not know what I'm doing, but all I do is listen to music and talk about my personal life- NOT TRUE.

she fussed at me and I held my own- I have the data. I said that we needed to focus on helping the child grow and one element of that is commuincation- that we need to find a way for her to feel comfortable conacting me without being angry and for me to conact her without feeling like she was trying to intimidate me. She turned to her husband and laughed- "haha Yeah, we've gotten her pretty shaken up." They disrespected me because I'm a first year teacher and tried to push me around, all of this done in the presence of the children.

I love my kids but I don't want to do this anymore.
