we'll see what happens later today when the stress hits the server in peak times...thats the problem, it just craps out during certain stress levels.

I just wish there was an option to stop TRYING to use online if it's crapped out...instead if slogs the entire game and you're left twiddling your thumbs.

Again, it's only a matter of time that they fix it, but SOCOM and other titles have the same networking issue. I hate to say this, but it reminds me of the whole 'you get what you pay for' with Xbox live. That of course doesn't mar my impression of this awesome title and yeah, it's great.

The Halo 3 launch was impressively smooth from what I remember. Although they did have some pretty widely publicized outages and lag issues throughout the holiday months last year, at least bad enough to give everyone a free XBLA game.

Thing is, Sony can deliver a smooth online experience with the PSN. Just look at Warhawk. They just need to get their shit together for LittleBigPlanet. This is their flagship title, and so far they fucked up the launch date because of that Qur'an shit and now they can't get the servers stable. It's only the first week and I have no doubt they'll get it right eventually, but it needs to happen fast.

Also, you all need to check out this new Killzone 2 trailer. The gameplay may still be up in the air, but the visuals are ridiculous. It's amazing that this game runs on what could be a $300 console in February (i'm anticipating another price drop around it's launch). It's second only to Crysis imo.

Yeah I mean, I'm not trying to tow the 360 party line here, I just want PSN to be better implemented and although there are slow steps being taken.... if you're Sony you just can't bungle what I consider to be one of the more worldwide and innovative titles in years. I mean, LBP can truly display next gen elements not only in gameplay concept, visuals, but in particular its online and multilayer capabilities. The 'phase in phase out' style of gameplay online is bloody brilliant (when working...)

My point really is that online implementation is the most important feature this console cycle and it still remains a growing curve for Sony that I wish they would have mastered by now. I personally think they've taken it on way too slowly. If I were them, I would have traded every single Home engineer and put them solely on improving the network experience, from that it would have improved sales and created a real direct threat to Xbox Live.

Does it mean I regret my PS3? Oh hell no, just saying - hindsight is 20/20. Killzone does look freaking great. Can you use a mouse with that? If so, AWWWWWW YEAH

What user created levels has you guys played LBP? The really elaborate ones can be confusing... you can tell making an intuitive, fun level takes some skill. LittleBigPhantasy and Azure Planet seem to be really popular, but I haven't beat them. I'll try again later. There's a funny 360 vs. PS3 level out there.

At first, they were saying that the online content would be by region. They changed their stance, obviously.

This game is seriously awesome. It feels like they've tightened it up a bit since the beta.

I'm completely overwhelmed by games right now b/w Rock Band 2, LBP, Bioshock, and Fifa 09. And there's more on the horizon.

Resistance 2 is pretty good....I really liked the first one and this one's pretty good as well.

I've tried campaign and cooperative but have yet to play online.

It's actually a good bit different from the first so if you didn't like it, you might like this one.

I got FarCry 2 on the 360 and love it. I also bought Fable II and Fallout 3. I've spent ~20% of my gaming time on Fallout3 and Fable II and 80% on FarCry 2 because i'm really liking it.

well after the let down of the new 007 game being a measily 4 hours long i've had to find another game to look forward to.

And i think that game is the new Tomb Raider: Underworld

I haven't played a TR game since TR2 but this one sounds pretty good. Plus i've been looking for something with some action/adventure after another disappointment from Uncharted.

Uncharted was fun and visually amazing but was entirely too short. I liked it, but was just left wanting more. I am probably more disappointed in myself that I ended up buying it after i knew it was short instead of just borrowing/renting. I'm gonna find out how long the TR game is before i get it.

i couldn't agree more. and i've never been one of those persons to beat a game on normal and turn around and try again on hard. once i'm through the single player once that portion of the game is usually it for me.

got Resistance 2 from Gamefly. The Campaign is a little underwhelming so far. THen again, I was never a huge fan of the original.

I don't know how anyone can say Uncharted was too short... Game felt plenty long to me. And playing it on the hardest difficulty (the one that unlocks after you beat it once) is like playing a whole different game. The AI is completely different. One of the only games I've played through more than once.

Finished Bioshock recently, game was amazing. I'll wait until it drops in price and buy it to play through again.

Little BIg Planet still rocks. Hard.

The online is pretty great. Much better than MotorStorm 1. It just sets you up in a quick match and your off usually with 12 others. I played for about an hour with no lag and no issues and then for some reason it couldn't find any races. I figured they were doing server maintenance or something. I haven't tried it again since then but it was really good. Really damn tought to win a race though.
