yeah i can see a lot of advantages to having a more maneuverable vehicle that can fit through narrow areas in a post-apocalyptic world.

I would go nuts in this world working out scenarios like this.DO you have weapons evenly spread throughout the base.Is everyone allowed to carry firearms at all times? What happens if someone dies of natural causes? Lock everyone up at night? What scenarios do you prep for? Human attack or just zombies?Do leave the back door locked up on both sides to eliminate rear exit even though its overrun on the other side? What if kids go randomly opening doors because their ignorant? Who do you trust?

I'm only like 10 minutes into this episode, but it would seem like the characteristic sound of a walker moaning or whatever you want to call it would keep any living person on high alert...so it seems pretty unbelievable that the girl wouldn't have heard dude-with-glasses doing the walker moan 30 seconds after she laid down in her cell
10/21/2013 12:46:04 AM
I agree. That stuck out in my mind.Another solid episode...REALLY like the work so far this season.Apparently its a flu-like strain according to the exec producer.Lots of zombies killed, drama, near death experiences...solid.Michonne obviously used to have a kid, theres no other explanation as to why she broke down.Carl, still annoys me.The biggest thing obviously is Who is luring the zombies with rats...and then who burned the bodies.Probably the same person.
10/21/2013 1:24:33 AM
so are we going to have a 5 minute "stab zombies at the fence" scene in every episode this season?
10/21/2013 8:23:22 AM
Find it hard to believe that such a rural area would produce so many swarms of roaming zombies. I mean sure, the first few swarms make sense, but if they've been killing them like this for 6 months or so, you're talking about a ton of zombies coming from a long way off.I presumed the rats in the fence were the little girl that seemed to "like" the walkers. The one that couldn't kill her dad and then empathized for "Nick" and didn't want him killed. And doesn't Carl know, "snitches get stitches"??
10/21/2013 8:35:29 AM
Ok, as a regular hater of the show I have to say last night's episode was pretty boss.
10/21/2013 8:46:35 AM
10/21/2013 9:31:26 AM
It doesn't make sense to me that mochionne couldn't fight off 2 zombies. She seems way too soft recently. I'm also pretty sure that the show writers have no idea about containment of biohazards. Why Rick soaked himself in pigs blood to then burn his shirt doesn't make sense. Overall I liked the episode, but things seem a little too overdramatc sometimes.
10/21/2013 10:25:32 AM
Why would Rick and especially Crazy Rick know that?
10/21/2013 10:29:01 AM
10/21/2013 10:55:26 AM
i don't see that freaked out little girl catching rats and wandering out there at night
10/21/2013 11:10:08 AM
10/21/2013 11:14:35 AM
That does raise the question of where all the "dead" zombies are. If they spend time every day taking out zombies so they don't collapse the fence, they would very quickly just pile up and knock over the fence anyway. Every shot has fresh walking zombies with open ground under them. It's like the zombie corpses are despawning.
10/21/2013 11:34:54 AM
Decent episode. Stupid ex-Woodbury people are so clueless around zombies. During the opening 'attack' they were just derping around, and good ole Rick and Daryl cleaned house.Did anyone watch next weeks sneak preview in the Talking Dead? excited for next week. It is about to get real.
10/21/2013 11:59:07 AM
enjoyed the tension in the first part of the episode, thought it was really well done.
10/21/2013 12:14:01 PM
I just figured it was the Governor who was dropping rats at one strategic location in front of the fence to get the walkers to topple it and then get into the prison. But I guess that doesn't work since they're being dropped on the other side.
10/21/2013 12:20:30 PM
10/21/2013 12:32:13 PM
The governor left behind a deuce and a half with a mounted machine gun, why wouldnt they just pull that fucker out there and mow the accumulating zombies down? Maybe they ditched it too after it jammed that time on the governor's homeboys. And they need to focus on building Chevaux-de-Frise around the entire perimeter. And start boiling their water! Why isn't that obvious to them?
10/21/2013 12:34:15 PM
there were A LOT of fucking walkers on the road ahead of Daryl, Michonne, Cutty and Deangelo Barksdale
10/21/2013 12:34:46 PM
also I cant watch cutty without calling him cutty, and hearing thishttp://youtu.be/xWE9hMn8cno
10/21/2013 12:42:03 PM
they need to do a "Thiller" episode .just one outlandish show to throw everyone off. That's right. Pull a "Scrub" song and dance number.I want to see Rick do the wobble. Herschel do the stanky leg.
10/21/2013 4:49:06 PM
this season is so much better than the previous ones. (so far)
10/21/2013 5:20:32 PM
next episode was written by Kirkman himself. looks pretty awesome.
10/21/2013 5:48:15 PM
Is it D'angelo Barksdale's character that is the inside man leaving the rats?
10/22/2013 11:39:21 AM
^He was in this episode for like 35 seconds, haha. I'm not sure who is leaving the rats. All hints lead to the little girl, but that could be slight of hand. So i'm not sure.
10/22/2013 1:25:52 PM
hints pointing to the little girl leaving the rats are way too obvious... it HAS to be deangelo doesn't it? He is obviously hiding some demons of his own, as we saw in the big lots beer and wine aisle. I dont see a little girl who has a walker bff catching a rat much less sacrificing a furry living creature to a snarling walker. But a dude cold enough to peel back a zombie skull and poke around in its brain bare handed, yeah I can see that. Also they mentioned he was an army medic. And when Rick, Hersh, and the others were discussing the swine flu with new indian doctor guy, this army medic was not offering up survival tips (lets boil our drinking water guyz!) he was just staring off into space. He arrived two weeks ago, maybe he is the carrier of the new virus. I could totally see him killing the two quarantined/infected people, dragging them out, and burning the bodies. Cutty damn sure didn't do it, or Rick, or Carl, or the little girls, or Carol, or Glen, or peg leg, or Daryl...

its not a flu based on the pigs...according to the writers...apparently its a lot like a flu that hit in the 1930s I think was the decade and from human to human. Also, there is no way that the little girl was brave enough to catch a rat, sneak out in the middle of the night with a flashlight and feed the zombies at shoulder level. It could be Darryl...he hates having so many people in the prison and a wall collapse is just enough to get them to move.We have yet to be introduced to that new character they are supposed to meet as well...the army soldier dude.
10/22/2013 7:54:51 PM
I couldn't see Darryl doing it for a second. It just doesn't seem inline with his character at all. He's a good dude and there's too much risk with a stunt like that.

4 people in a car. 3 of them black. One is Daryl. I wonder who's gonna die.[Edited on October 27, 2013 at 9:53 PM. Reason : cc]

I'm glad they found a way to sort of recreate tyresse's badass moment from the comicI'm assuming black combat medic guy is the guy that burned those people[Edited on October 27, 2013 at 10:00 PM. Reason : OR NOT]

Carol!?!?!?!
10/27/2013 10:01:03 PM

Ill probably get flamed for this, and this season isnt bad, but im bored. Also, too many commercials, but thats to be expected.
10/27/2013 11:36:31 PM
What did Rick see that lead him to realize it was carol ?
10/28/2013 12:34:22 AM
the script
10/28/2013 12:35:21 AM
@moronI think it's because Rick noticed how she didn't give a shit and went outside the fence to fix the water. She's taking risks... and she's also teaching kids how to use knives. He sees that she will go to extremes for the people.
10/28/2013 12:37:23 AM
I guess the size of the handprint indicated it was a female too
10/28/2013 7:53:35 AM
Overall I found that episode pretty boring, and the whole car scene towards the end was fucking stupid and predictable. Not keeping your eyes on the road, how nice. And why the hell did Darryl just let the car sit there while 15-20 zombies swarmed it and climbed on it? Would have made sense to immediately throw it in reverse and get the hell out. Finally the car getting stuck on dead bodies was something you could see a mile away. Predictable and only a shit driver (living in zombieland) would have made that mistake.meh
10/28/2013 8:18:05 AM
I still haven't figured out why Rick & Co. didn't take over Woodbury after the gov. went crazy at the end of last season. Woodbury seemed proven a defendable location and it is less drab then the prison.....
10/28/2013 8:27:14 AM
10/28/2013 8:46:12 AM
I didn't think the Carol thing was that big of a twist, it was pretty obvious it was her after she broke down crying after talking to Tyrese. The small hand-print was what led Rick to believe it was a woman, and she was the only woman on there that was protective and badass enough to go through with it. I was happy it was her and not just some random guy like the army medic.Thought the episode overall was pretty "meh" compared to the rest of the season. Like that an actual original member of the group has the infection to at least make us care to some extent. Did like the spin they gave the Tyrese "smackdown" scene from the comic, though found it interesting that they had Rick beat the shit out of Tyrese instead of the other way around. Thought the scene with Carl in the woods was pretty pointless though.
10/28/2013 9:07:30 AM
I figured that that scene was there to further confirm that Carl has learned that he should shoot when he needs to. It was character development
10/28/2013 9:19:59 AM
In the talking dead, one if the producers implied the radio transmission was based in the comics.
10/28/2013 10:07:45 AM
Arg. DVR cut off like 15 seconds before the show ended and I missed it.
10/28/2013 11:05:49 AM
The black Army Doc guy... Idk if I believe his story just yet. Rewatch the scene at the end, when he leaves the car. He runs out of the car THEN un-holsters his gun...wtf. I know everyone is in panic mode, but wouldn't you get your gun ready before running out of the car? Just a little weird.Carol is starting to lose it. I feel like she is spiriling away from her motherly and nurturing side, and falling into a survival and cold-blooded character. I can see her fucking up at some point, killing a person out of 'instinct', only to realize it was unnecessary. This causes her to flip out, and to go suicidal. Either that, or she catches Daryl bwn'ing Michonne, and flips out, goes after Michonne, and gets her lesbian hair head cut off.
10/28/2013 12:29:53 PM
Another theory:The crazy little girl stabbed the 2 infected people, Carol burned the bodies to cover it up. Took the blame when asked by Rick because she wants to protect the little girl.
