^,^^^ The .40 ejector bends in, while the 9mm is straight. The .40 ejector can theoretically hit the primer on a 9mm round. I think there have only been a few cases of it, but it is enough that I would only use the setup on the range, and not for SD. 1/19/2012 12:21:56 AM |

ah, okay. if it happens would it do any damage to the gun? i only want to do it for cheaper practice (and so that when we're all hunting eachother and I come across a dead guy with a bunch of 9mm I can use it )] 1/19/2012 12:30:05 AM |

Might blow the mag out, could hurt your hand, might damage the internals. I wouldn't worry too much about it, just something to have knowledge of. I have the conversion barrel so it can't be all bad. 1/19/2012 1:39:24 AM |

my dad submitted his CHP paperwork today and said he'd done a lot of reading and really wants to try a Bodyguard 380. he didn't even know i had one, let alone one for sale, so it looks like the Bodyguard is sold pending a trip to the range this weekend so he can try it out.
i appreciate the interest from tww. Savage is still for sale. i can swing through raleigh tomorrow and meet you wherever. 1/19/2012 5:32:15 PM |

FWIW - I bought my Sig 229 with the .357 bbl, and a 40. I bought a BAR STO 9mm bbl for it and it runs all three calibers from the same mags. I noticed that the newer, much lighter Sig has a different barrel design and this won't work. 1/20/2012 9:10:02 AM |

Reposting since deal fell through.
For sale is a Sears Model 200 12Ga shotgun - 27" barrel, blued, fixed full-choke. It's in great condition, works perfectly. Would make for a nice truck gun or inexpensive HD setup.
This particular model is a rebranded Winchester 1200, so it's made by Winchester and shares all of its parts with the 1200. Pretty much everything on it is interchangeable.
Looking for $150 or equivalent trade. A pump 410 or 20 gauge would be nice, if you have one to trade.

^ Shotgun is SPF (again)
I am selling a Savage/Stevens Model 62 semi-auto 22LR fitted with a 4x32 Brunton Duplex Scope on Weaver Rings. I've put a couple of magazines through it and it functions fine. Since picking up a nice 10/22, it hasn't seen any love, so to a new home it goes.
This rifle is identical to the currently produced Savage Model 64F. Specs can be found here: http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/64F
Asking $140 or equivalent trade

Deal fell through so reposting:
I am selling a brand new Ruger P95 9mm -- not even one round shot with it.
Still in the box with two mags, lock, and warranty info, etc.
Trying to recover the $360 I have in it. I will also throw in a box of 50 rounds of Sillman 9mm Luger 115g hollow rounds -- paid $20 for these -- yours free. PM me with questions -- must have permit, etc.
Here is one picture, more in the photo gallery:

I put this on CSF as well, but would prefer to sell it to you guys. I personally think it's a great deal...
Hopefully some Charlotte folk want it, because I would prefer not to drive so far. Here is the exact CSF post:
Hey guys!
Well what happened was this... I bought an all numbers-matching 1945 Spanish Mauser and proceeded to disassemble it completely for inspection/cleaning. The metal is beautiful and has a nice "antique" finish.
The problem was with the stock. I don't know if it was original or not, but under the metal it had a decent amount of rot. In several places it completely fell apart, and was basically just mush in general.
Fast forward! I ordered a BEAUTIFUL stock from Boyd's, the exact model is a "Prarie Hunter Large Ring Mauser Military Barrel Channel Nutmeg Laminate (Unfinished)."
It fit perfectly, and for my purposes no fitting was required. I have not sanded or oiled this stock, so it remains up to you how exactly you want to finish it. Some might just sand and polyurethane it! Obviously completely up to you if you buy it. I have not installed sling swivels or studs yet either.
I still have all the hardware that came off the original rifle. I also have a couple hundred rounds of 8mm ammo to get you started. Not sure of manufacture origin, but I suspect Turkish (fires great though). I have personally shot 20 rounds through this gun, and as it sits, it was just thoroughly cleaned.
So here's your chance to pick up where I left off! I would like $300 for everything described, and am located in Huntersville NC.
Thank you!

it is illegal to sell guns to an individual from another state. if you want to sell to someone in another state, the deal has to go through an FFL. you don't have to ship, though. you can both just meet up at an FFL. 1/24/2012 7:47:42 PM |

the new model 70 features controlled round feed and a mauser-style "claw" extractor. these features are considered mandatory by dangerous game hunters (the ones who decide to go with bolt actions over double rifles). they're made in south carolina by FN. solid rifle that has a reputation of being quite accurate.

Up today is a Ruger M77 in .308 win. Has Ruger scope rings and Redfield 3-9x40 scope in gloss (very clear and bright). Rifle is in good overall shape. Wood has some dings from use and the barrel has some freckling. Reciever and bolt are in great shape. Floorplate has a few nicks as well. Overall in good shape, 80-85% gun. Wood is nice looking and the gun operates very slick.
Asking $500 with Redfield scope. $425 for just the rifle. Trades include S&W .22LR revolvers, Marlin/Winchester .44mag rifles, Ruger M77 in .243 1/30/2012 9:31:34 AM |
