I redid a workout from July 9, 2011 (I track all my work outs, what days I run, which routine I did, etc) and I beat my time in both the Bodyrock 360 Rep Bad Ass Workout and running.

On July 9, 2011 I did the rep work out in 34 minutes and then did a 2 mile (20 minute) run

Today I completed the rep work out in 27 minutes and then went on a 3.5 (43 minute) run

In a way, yes. The doctor did tell me that since I've now had stones once I need to be careful of making my diet too protein rich, as it can contribute to making the stones more frequent and larger :-/

I still have one in my left kidney and I have to follow up with my urologist in a few months to make sure that no new ones have formed.

I put frozen blueberries in my protein shake today and it was really good. I got some greek yogurt and spit it out. Are you suppose to eat it with something and is it suppose to taste like cottage cheese?

Also, I am starting to feel a lot better and have a lot more energy. I think I am going to have to find a hobby now that I don't lay around on the couch all day I am also a lot less bloated and my clothes are already fitting better because of it. Everytime I get past the "omg this sucks im going to die fml" part, I always feel great and kick myself for not doing it sooner or all along.

I took some before pictures a couple days ago, but I haven't taken them off the camera just yet. I want to put a progress picture up next to them so I can be all " ".

So I feel good about this.

It's my "day off" as far as working out goes, but I just finished a 1.8 mile walk / run alternating every 400 meters.

Weight hasn't changed any, but I've also not been as strict as I should be on my diet. Will have to start doing that. I'm just really enjoying being active again. Looking forward to bein all sexy for my wife.

Thanks MB I thought about waiting to put up the before pics with the progress pics, but see now I have to lose weight and get in shape to save face.

I haven't lost any pounds yet either, but I'm trying my best to not obsess over numbers, no matter how much I love them. I'm feeling better and not dreading getting out of bed every morning, so I'm trying to hold on to that thought and continue what I'm doing.

bmel you already have a bangin body and are off to a great start

I challenged myself to a 10 mile run on the American Tobacco Trail this morning. Finished in 1:57 which is really good for me considering I haven't run more than 4 miles in months and I didn't eat anything this morning before I went out there. It's a really great place to go run and bike and might try to make it out there once a month for some long runs.

I kept a solid 10-minute mile for the first 6.5 miles and then I started to fade some. I'm feeling good now - just a little tight.

started off the last two mornings with an hour on the elliptical. My PWO lunch is a big bowl of plain greek yogurt with pineapple, splenda, and a little bit of kashi cereal clusters for texture.

I forgot about the profile picture. Maybe I'll get Peter to take one of me. I gain most of my weight in my ass and thighs so I should probably just take pictures of that. I have avoided a bathing suit about all Summer because I've gained 20 pounds and too embarrassed to wear one in public.

My Goals:
Lose fat
Gain muscle
Get back to between 150lbs-140lbs

How I'm going to do it:
Calorie deficient diet with high protein (primarily consisting of protein shakes, lots of fruit, peanut butter sandwiches, salads, and grilled chicken)
Exercise: Running, Elliptical, Taebo, 30 Day Shred DVD, and Weight lifting
Sleep well
Relax and enjoy life.

Running at half-marathon in December. Shooting for a finish of 1:40. Still trying to pick a marathon for early 2012.

So this weekend was harder than I thought it would be. I ended up getting wasted at the wedding last night because I could hardly eat any of the food so I had a ton of wine and today at my sister's bridal shower I caved. I had a cupcake.

Within about 20 min my tummy felt funny... Now I look 5 months pregnant. I actually took pics of my bloated self on Friday but I can't figure out how to load them on tww from an iPad...

And to make things worse? (as far ad emotions go) My sister gave me a thank you gift today for throwing the shower.... It was this amazing cupcake book. I couldn't keep it together and started crying because it was such a sweet thought and it's an amazing book... but I was so incredibly sad because I had just had that cupcake and it made me feel like such shit. I'm going to alter the recipes to make them GF/LF for myself...

I'm just really sad. I love food and I love cooking.. I couldn't even taste the cupcake batter today to see if it needed anything.

im at 136-138ish.
not sure what my measurements are but they have gone down a bit, ill take them later

judging from past my "goal weight" will probably be around 130ish, maybe a tad lower.
i put that in parenthesis because its not really my goal but my measurements were where i want them when i was at that weight

^^ Joie, hawt! You're about 5'9", right? Your current weight sounds perfect. Of course, it depends on what you're training for or trying to achieve.

Also, what's going on in the background? Looks like a fun, creative project.

Thanks I don't have a fitness goal...I'm just trying to lean out a bit, I have pretty wide set hips so I'm not too worried about losing shape.
I have realized that I fair much much better on a lot less food than I originally thought. The past few weeks I have been the most productive and more energy than I've had in a long time.

Dude. TRUE STORY. I've been pretty super vigilant about what I eat for about four and a half months now, and I find I crave far less food than I was accustomed to eating before.

Two of my BIG weaknesses are Chipotle burritos and Jersey Mikes. I can't finish a Chipotle burrito anymore (that was NEVER a problem before), and I can't finish a regular sub at JM anymore either. I order minis now. Ridiculous.

Also, I ran a 5K yesterday in 26:58 (8:41 pace). May not sound that impressive, but it's by FAR the best I've ever done. I ran this same race last year in 32:06 (10:20 pace).

I fit into a size medium shirt today for the first time in six years, and I had to punch a new hole into my belt. FIRED. UP.

Joie: That's a good rule of thumb ... stick with what feels good. Everyone has their own, individual optimal weight. BMI is relative bs. In the end, what it comes down to is feeling at your best ... whatever your best may be.

Cycle: Nice job! Always satisfying to chart progress.

Samwise16 don't get too down on yourself. You have to remember that working through a food allergy takes time. Hell I woke up this morning with swollen hands and had raging insomnia last night so now I need to determine what caused the reaction because I thought everything I ate was okay last night (but now I'm wondering if it's the vodka).

Still chuggin along. I keep expecting results but have to remember that all I've done is one full week of working out again. I need to become more strict with my diet again, but I'm still chuggin along.

I'll see about the before pics. I took them in only compression shorts since I wear those when I work out (or at least used to... not really anymore), but I'm thinking I'm just going to move to my athletic shorts. Then at least I won't feel naked posting 'em. haha

So can we start a discussion on eating organic? I know what I read blah blah blah it's better for you. For the longest time I didn't really buy into it but now with my allergy I've read it's better to eat organic to ensure I'm not digesting stuff my body hates (like today - total random allergic reaction which caused hand swelling, 4 pound weight gain, and insomnia....anyways).

I figured this is the best place to start and then we can branch off into another thread if this gets really interesting. Does anyone eat organic? Did you notice a difference once you switched? I'm thinking of slowly switching over - starting with eggs (since i eat about 2 a day) and going from there. My main thing is that i am tempted to see if I can notice a difference? Well other than spending more money on food. What do yall think?

Thanks for the encouragement Cass It is hard. But now I am not tempted because of how I felt after that cupcake... I'm sure I'll be tempted occasionally but i keep telling myself to think of how tired/fatigued I felt and how bloated I was within half an hour.

As for eating organic food, I think most of the stuff I buy will be organic. Not really because I'm all YEAH ORGANIC WOO but more because it seems like those companies are more conscious about, yup you guessed it, food allergies. I like to buy my produce from the farmer's market here though and I don't necessarily always go to the organic people (actually, I only buy arugula from them because they're the only ones who sell it).

I'm going to go have my first true shopping experience at Whole Foods tonight. I'm a little worried about the cost... Any suggestions on coupons? I wonder if Southern Savers has a section for there...

Speaking of organic, there's a pretty cool weight loss documentary on Netflix called "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead" that advocates a 100% vegetable diet using a juicer. Its pretty cool.

Sam check out Kroger (if you have them in Alabama). Best gluten free section (near produce and all in one spot for easy shopping). Better than Whole Foods or any other grocery store. Also check out Amazon.

I watched Forks Over Knives yesterday which mostly said the same things. Then I ate a salad. They did talk a lot more about the research of proteins. Also, it said that if your diet is 20% or more of casein proteins, which is found in animal milk, it can increase your chances of getting cancer.

This always happens when I eat something I'm not supposed to.

It usually takes about a week to go down. The problem is that I don't know what I had that caused it. I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary. I'm guessing it was either the vodka or the canned chicken (I've had canned tuna with no problems before).
