I've been doing random curling sets, bicycle-style crunches, and isometrics on a semi-daily basis again

I signed up for a weight training class next semester (no ncsu) lolol

"so whats the deal with resting between sets during ur workout? Is it important to take a breather or do you just jump right into the next set?

I'm usually giving myself a minute or two between sets, so I take my time, but I haven't really noticed any major differences in my strength/shape/whatever whether I quickly go into next sets or take my time"

depends on your overall workout philosophy.

I am a big fan of intensity/interval training so I rest very little, if at all, to maximize the cardiovascular benefits.

if you're squatting deep enough, your hamstrings will be used just as much as when you're deadlifting. With that being said, you should still be able to deadlift what you squat. The only reasons top powerlifters are able to squat more than they deadlift is because of the suits and knee wraps they use. Their raw squatting numbers are much lower.

If you look at the American records for raw lifts, the only weight class where deadlift totals aren't significantly higher than squat totals are in the gigantors weight class. I'd guess that's because they have so much fat around the back of their legs that squatting to parallel actually spring loads them.

How close to your legs are you pulling the bar on your deads? If you're not almost scraping your kneecaps with the bar, then you're not going to be lifting as much as you could be.

i went through a month tub while bulking, can't say it helped me sleep any nor had any effects on my dreams

it also tasted like crap, poor mixability since all the heavy elements sink to the bottom, I'll go pill form next time if at all

this was SNAC ZMA apple berry flavor, it was either that or root beer, i can't imagine a mixable root beer flavor

i am a tool. when i am squatting, in fact, my back acts as a large lever which helps push the weight up. perhaps simple machine would be inappropriate because there are multiple moving parts.

(in pansy voice) "oh, i'll do the nancy crossfit workout"

puhleeze, when you're done with your crossfit psuedo olympic lift warmup, come to the dark corners of the gym where men with 45 pound plates and chalk move iron, not work out.

sevens practice

25 hill sprints
1 100m sprint
2 50m sprints
4 40m sprints
5 22m sprints

assorted stretching and making fun of people who go to cross fit with their cowbells and their snatches.

i actually saw on their website that they were bragging about a 200 lb snatch. 200lbs!?! what do they do when they're done warming up?
