Have you guys listened to the new audio track posted on the smash bros site? They are taking all the ocarina songs from OoT and putting them into one track. It sounds pretty nice.

Hahaha I hate to sound like a fanboy but I bet Nintendo is laughing there asses off now after everyone thought the Gamecube would bring about their demise. Whichever one of their employees thought of the idea for the Wii controller probably got a pretty good promotion. 6/29/2007 8:27:07 AM |

Yay Wii... Woo-frickin-hoo....
If Tiger Woods Wii wasnt so much tougher and realistic (not to mention hard as hell to figure out the quirks of the interface) with the Wiimote, I'd be pretty damn bored with it right now... 6/29/2007 1:09:11 PM |

^^Nintendo is definitely not out of the woods yet.
There's still an extreme lack of good games for the system. Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy are promising for later this year, but we still haven't seen any really solid new 3rd-party games.
Nintendo needs to get some quality titles on the shelves before the PS3 drops in price if they want to stay in the competition. 6/29/2007 1:14:07 PM |
ShinAntonio Zinc Saucier 18947 Posts user info edit post |
No sensible person thought Nintendo would actually fail in the hardware biz. They've been turning a profit for god knows how long (except for one quarter IIRC). Even when their systems don't fly off the shelves, their games do.
On the subject of 3rd party stuff, more is definitely on the way.

Namco Bandai will up its Nintendo titles by 109% to 115; Sega by 96% to 49; and Capcom by 5% to 20. Meanwhile, the three majors intend to cut shipments of titles for Sony machines by 30%-40%. " |
Of course, this article doesn't clarify what the split between the Wii and DS are.6/29/2007 1:28:35 PM |

We got Medal of Honor: Vanguard yesterday. I am QUITE thoroughly enjoying it. The multi-player games would be best with 4 people, not two. Two of the four games are so similar as to almost be the same game.
For the first time since we got the wii, my bf and I are fighting like kids over getting to play the wii
My only bone to pick is that even after turning off some of the controller gestures, it still sometimes registers them and uses them 7/1/2007 11:42:01 AM |

I mean, I still think it's a pretty horrible name. But I was never in the camp of saying I wouldn't like the product because of a dumb name. There's a difference in accepting something you can't change and liking it. You people are acting like buying one means we all drank the kool-aid or something. 7/5/2007 11:59:27 AM |

question:
would you purchase another controller for $37 or wii play for $49?
wii play does come with 9 games, but each game = ~$1.
who has it and was it worth it?
do i really need another nunchuck?
also:
does anyone have the nyko rechargeable batteries and charging stand?
any issues?

just use regular rechargeable batteries... no need for a stand and battery pack imo (cost-wise).
get wii play for another controller, some of the games can be to your liking and worth it. 7/9/2007 7:52:58 AM |

i do....it works great. i havent had any problems with it. i have rechargable batteries, but im so forgetful about charging them that I never have a good set onhand...so this works best for me. I just pop in back in the charger after I'm done and its fully charged next time I want to play.
im fine with paying a little extra for the convenience. thats why i work.

I would suggest owning at least two wiimotes and two nunchuks. I would also recommend at least one classic controller (maybe two) and one or two gamecube controllers (if those are even still sold).
