do you realize that tourism industries that some cities rely on each year that occur mainly during the summer rely on the extra workforce that HS kids on summer vacation provide and that year round school would cause a large problem?

^do you also realize we were talking a) about elementary schools b) that year round schools help combat overcrowding (which some people argue has helped test scores, etc go up), teacher burnout, and saves $$$ (for everyone) and c) you can still work while in high school (no not during the day but after school job/weekends, plenty of people do it, granted yes it would probably affect tourism if the workforce was really comprised of tons of HS students working full time), and d) the current school calendar wasn't built around tourism, it was built around agrarian needs (well especially in the south anyway) and e) does raleigh qualify as one of the areas? or is it like mostly costal areas? in NC i mean. i'm not talking about anywhere else. i really don't know.

anyway that is what i think. i has benefits for education. especially if it was done only in elementary schools. but that is just what iiiiiiiii think.
