Why not just buy the supplies to make your own salad???

I mean, I'll hit up a salad if it comes with a meal, but I sure as shit am not going to specifically go to a store and buy a salad. I would rather just buy the lettuce, tomato, ect, to make a bunch of salads at a cheaper price than what I would get at some salad bar.

dunno- bout to go to the cookbook to pick out our 3 cooked in dinners for the week, and tonight will be one of them. I am leaning towards lobster lasagna rollups or enchilada stuffed shells

^^ because it doesn't end up cheaper for me when i'm going for an all out big salad like that. i'd have to buy so much stuff or just go and get a $7-9 salad. if i bought all the stuff that they have on their salad bar that i put on my salad, it would be $$$ and i don't think i'd use it all before it went bad (since i am only 1 person, maybe if i had someone else eating on it too)

sure i make regular salads with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, avocado, olives, etc at home all the time, but whole foods has lots of other yummy toppings. so for more than a basic salad (unless i'm making dinner w/ the bf or something and we split the ingredients) it is more expensive to just buy everything myself

you could say (what you said) about almost any meal out though - why not just get your own supplies and make a burger/steak/pizza/etc/etc?

^^ Sometimes I prefer the salad bar because I don't want to have to deal with prep and then storing the leftovers. Depends what my schedule is like for the rest o the week.

Crazy Fire. The one in Burlington gives you tortillas with your meal. That's really weird. Does the Cary one do that now?

Cary has always had them on the menu. You just have to ask for them.

don't know what i want:

burger
oven pizza
pancakes, eggs, bacon
turkey sandwich
grilled cheese

i think those are pretty much the only choices! i'm leaning between oven pizza and pancakes, etc.

WHAT SHOULD I EAT?

number 1. mayo on sandwiches is gross (to me, i realize a lot of ppl like it. i like it in chicken salad and egg salad obviously). number 2 miracle whip is the most disgusting thing ever created. SHAME ON YOU SHMORRI SHAME ON YOU.

take note:

AND HOW ARE YOU GOING TO EAT PASTRAMI ON WHITE BREAD??

you are crazy, i tell you. CRAZY!

^^While your pastrami sentiments and your mayo preference warm my heart, mayo on sandwiches is still a very necessary condiment.

I'm making spicy stuffed bell peppers with a ton of ingredients I got from the Farmer's Market today, including some fresh chorizo and fresh hamburger, never frozen, no preservatives! Shit is great. Got some poblano and jalapeno peppers to add to the spicy.

Although I should have gone to Grand Asia Market for some rice.
