Mine will not update to the new patch - says there is one and then when I hit ok it just keeps coming back saying cant do it.

i heard the bowling game uses a meter instead of full 1:1 motions...gonna have to wait and see some reviews for that. are you sure its only 30 bucks? i was lookin at the gamefaqs forums and i thought they said they changed it to full price...course there's not a lot of activity on the boards, so it coulda been an old thread.

So... I just got a Wii this weekend with Mario Strikers (which is awesome btw). Is there any cool stuff I can do with it and a DS like sync them up or anything?

Nothing yet, but hopefully that will be fixed sometime next year (at least with Animal Crossing).

I just got my Wii too and the VC is pretty neat. I know that you can get all the games online, but it's nice to play them on a big screen in your living room without a pc. Nintendo has got to be making out like bandits. They need to lower the prices on nes/snes games though. I'm sure I'd buy alot more of them if they weren't 8-10$ a pop.

I'm pretty sure, at the moment, only Pokemon games sync to one another.

I just bought Street Fighter 2 Turbo on the VC. It said it could use either the classic controller or a gamecube controller. When I try to load the game with my wavebird plugged in it tells me I have to have the classic controller and won't let me go any farther. Is there some setting I'm missing somewhere or was the info for the game just wrong?

Try just letting it sit on the screen without pressing any buttons and see if it loads.

When I had difficulties with the virtual console controller setup, syncing the wiimotes helped. However, I'm not sure how that would affect the wavebird.

It always says that, you just press A to go past it. I think it is a standard message for all SNES and N64 games.
