Nah, still far too much "stupid" going on in here, but:

"I wonder if Erios is going to post several paragraphs explaining that Sidney Lowe is amazing and use lists, underlining, italics, and bold?"

Not this time, but hey I do it all for you guys. Gotta explain things so the rest of you will understand

....

Seriously what more do you guys want? Get used to losing for the remainder of the year. We got a terrible team with confidence issues. And the worse Lowe does now, the better he needs to do next year to save his job. With only HIS players (mostly) next year, if he sucks then Lowe will have run out of excuses. Still doesn't change the fact he's not getting fired this year. If you need some booze to take the edge off of a hard loss (and yes there are plenty more coming, trust me)... I recommend Crown and coke. It's good stuff.

That's it.

so what is our record over the past 18 ACC games? Like 2 and 16? And you crazy assholes want to try and tell me Lowe is improving and coming along nicely on the learning curve? Get the fuck out of here with that stupid bullshit.

"Then Lowe says to the media, "Degand didn't deserve to play tonight" and turns out to be an academic violation? Who fucking says that to the media?"

If he violated an academic rule, then what's wrong with telling the media he didn't deserve to play? He didn't say he "didn't deserve to play because of the way he was practicing". He obviously didn't deserve to play because he broke a rule. And Lowe enforced it. It's called "discipline". Good college coaches use this tool. The rest of your post is legit, i don't understand a lot of the sub patterns. But then again, I'm not on the team, and i don't go to practices, and i don't have intimate discussions with the coaches. But yeah, I think I might have to give-up on Horner. (Until next year, that's going to be his year!)

And once again, you're making-up shit. What "assholes" said this? Can you point me to just one "asshole" who has made this claim?

We all knew what we were getting when we hired him. A head coach that holds the record of having the lowest winning percentage ever in the history of professional sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL). Don't you fuckers try and tell me that Lowe was just so unlucky that he had the least talented players of all the teams in the history of professional sports. Not to mention the coach who came in after Lowe won 30 more games his first year with the same fucking players.

Guess what, it fucking mirrors his winning percentage in the ACC.

dude we get it, but I dont think you do

Lowe saved our asses by taking this job. He was brought on to help fowler find us a solid coach.

No one said he was going to be our saviour (although he did admirably his first year with a PG)

He had never coached College BBall before, I dont know what the fuck you were expecting but I expected it to be a work in progess. Which is exactly what we are. He's learning on the fly and hey after his contract is out, he will probably not get picked back up and we can find a new coach for you to bitch at.

he is not going to get fired so SHUT THE FUCK UP and stay true to your word of not watching games so I dont have to read your stupid fucking posts.

He didn't save shit. Lee Fowler fucked up the coaching search going for a big name instead of a proven college basketball head coach. What he should have done was went and got a winning up and coming mid major coach. Now we are where we are. That stupid fucker lost 30 pounds or something while vacationing during that fiasco. So we'll be pretty much fucked until Fowler gets fired, which will NEVER happen.

So again how did Lowe not save shit when you basically just explained how he did save us from more embarrassment because of fowler.

You explain to me how he saved us from embarrassment when we are 2-16 in our last 18 ACC games?

Just admit to me that Lowe is a piss poor coach. I've seen enough shitty coached games in the past 3 years to last me a lifetime.

I never said its all his fault. Someone is to blame though. I'm tired of the excuses.

Quote :

LOL. I hate this arguement. Why do any teams ever fire or hire new coaches then? Why not just get new players each year.

How could Sidney not take any blame for the current state of the basketball program?

and i'm saying you're still 100% wrong

Tim Floyd has the worst NBA coaching record ever...Rod Marinelli's NFL winning percentage is worse than Lowe's

And even though you're just making shit up to bash Lowe, you are ignoring the most important part, which is that Lowe coached two expansion NBA teams in the first 4-5 years of their existence...no coaches are going to have early success in that situation

Quote :
"Not to mention the coach who came in after Lowe won 30 more games his first year with the same fucking players"

not to mention hubie brown knows basketball as well as anyone on this planet, and it wasnt the same players...they added mike miller and james posey...oh yeah, and jerry west became GM...he knows a little something about winning basketball games

just give lowe some more time...the alternative is bitching all the time because your expectations are too high and you're too impatient

^ Dude. Floyd was 93-235 as an NBA coach which is 28.3% winning percentage. Lowe was 79-228 in his coaching career as an NBA coach which is a 25.7% winning percentage. As for the Lions coach, that was after Lowe was hired, but thanks for making my point. I hope you love the way Lowe's ass tastes.

floyd is actually 90-231 but you are right...floyd took over the bulls after all the championship players like jordan left and he had the record for a while, but i guess lowe surpassed him

you still cant discount the fact that he coached two different teams, both in their early franchise years, when you're lucky as shit to go 30-52

^ lol, it really is funny

Quote :
"Roy Rubin is a former professional basketball coach.

He coached the 1972-1973 Philadelphia 76ers — the worst team (a 9-73 win-loss record) in the history of the NBA — for the first 51 games of the season, after which he was fired and replaced with Kevin Loughery. His record was 4-47. Prior to entering the abatoir that was the 76ers on-court performance that year, Rubin had been a moderately successful college coach at Long Island University with a winning percentage just short of .650 in that Division II program. At the time he signed on with the 76ers, no respectable NBA coach would touch that team with a 10 foot pole because former Coach/GM Jack Ramsay had decimated the roster for reasons that could apparently only have been related to masochism or malicious sabotage. The Philadelphia media generally described Rubin as a lamb in the woods who was in for a great shock. Sadly, this turned out to be one of the most accurate prognostications in sports history. In retrospect, if Roy Rubin had been able to lead the disgraceful assemblage of alleged basketball players known as the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers to even 20 victories, he would deserve consideration as one of the all time great coaches along with Red Auerbach, John Wooden, Phil Jackson, Bob Knight and Phog Allen. A genuinely decent man, Roy Rubin deserved better than the fate he unwisely chose in the NBA, which can only be compared to that of a baby seal on the day of the big hunt."

wow... you know the SSS has run out of defense ammunition when they have to bring up Bill Self losing a game in order to defend Lowe.

even sarcastically saying Self isn't a good coach makes you look ridiculous. he has won big everywhere he has been a head coach.

Self turned around a dreadful Oral Roberts team in just three years. He then went to Tulsa and continued to win big and took them to an elite 8 [when was the last time NC State went to an elite 8?]

Self then went to Illinois and continued to win.... also taking yet another team to an elite 8 [when was the last time NC State went to an elite 8?]

Self then went to Kansas and continued to win big... taking yet another team to an elite 8 (2 times) [when was the last time NC State went to an elite 8?]

He followed that up by winning a national championship at Kansas. Did I mention that Bill Self did something at Kansas that Sidney Lowe's daddy couldn't do?

Out of all the shit in this thread, bringing up Bill Self might be the most ridiculous. OhBoyeee wouldn't even do something that ridiculous.

Lowe could only dream of having this much credibility:

*go back to defending Lowe without making yourself look stupid

Bill Self has 2 players that saw decent time last year (Sherron Collins, Cole Aldrich) and yet they are still ranked in the top 25. Look at how quickly he improved those teams.

^It's funny you say that. 4 years ago if we blew a game like the VTech game it was all "We have great players who get us the lead and then Herb blows it". Now many of the same crowd are saying the opposite.

FFS people, let's stop trying to compare the situation Lowe started with and the godawful piece of shit situations that Self and Dean Smith started with. It's not even close.

Show me a coach who inherited a team coming off five consecutive NCAA tournaments and then struggled, finishing last in the conference his second year and then we are in the ballpark of Lowe.
