I was thinking he will put up Janielle b/c of the fighting between the two this week and Howie b/c of how he was treating April who is a member of the Friendship. With Racheal going up if one of them wins the veto. 8/20/2005 10:06:15 PM |

Yea my opinion is he'll angle for Janelle and Howie as those are the two acting the most immature and if one wins veto then he'll put up Rachel.
I think unless she wins PoV that Janelle is gone. She's pissed off too many people at this point and Rachel & Howie gotta look out for each other first. See ya Janelle you hot, but pretty stupid chick. 8/20/2005 10:18:03 PM |

I have another BB question.
In the HOH competition Sat. night, one of the questions was "what are the numbers to the combination lock for the fitness room?"
Why do they have a lock on the fitness room? 8/21/2005 12:15:36 PM |

As much as I like the guy, anyone that gives a dime to Kaysar is an idiot. Early on before he got evicted the first time, he said that when he got kicked off he would make it his goal to try and make $500,000 before the winner of BB was announced and whoever he was talking to asked if he was serious and he said he was.
I saw the website for the apartment complex he lives in. Rent starts at $2000/mo. Homeboy isn't hurting for cash.
Then again if anyone did give him large amounts of money he'd probably just donate it to charity cause he's the man like that. 8/21/2005 3:47:06 PM |

I think that Janelle and Howie are going up. Beau will definitely put Janelle up and I think he will put Howie up too because of his argument with April. So what if Rachel wins the POV and takes Howie off? Do you think that Beau will put James up or do you think that Ivette will talk Beau into putting April up? If so, that coudl cause some conflict between "the friendship". 8/21/2005 3:54:56 PM |

Wait, if a person wins the veto that is not up and gives the veto to someone else, why are they no longer eligible to be put up?
I mean I understand if they HOLD the veto they can't be put up, but I thought they gave up that right when they elected to give it to a person that was indeed nominated? 8/21/2005 6:23:42 PM |

they want to entice people to use the POV. if you could be put up for eviction after using it, why would you even use it? there would be no reason to have a POV at all because nobody would use it. 8/21/2005 6:54:25 PM |

^^yes, that happened 2 seasons ago w/ alison. she was up for eviction and there was that dumb blonde guy who was obsessed w/ her (can't recall his name, he had a southern accent). she played him the whole time and i think he kinda knew but he just wasn't very bright... anyhow, he won POV and use it to save her, but then he immediately got put up in her place & was evicted... and then on the final episode when it was down to ali & jun, that guy still voted for ali to win! 8/21/2005 10:23:27 PM |

Here's the thing with the POV. The first 3 seasons it was just a regular POV. you won it. you could use it on someone. that was it.
Then during one of the last few weeks of BB3 they introduced the golden POV. And the reason it's special is the person that uses it can't get nominated either.
Ever since BB4 all POVs have been golden POVs. But before that, yes there were a few times in the house when someone used a non-golden POV and got nominated as the replacement.
^^^However that wasn't one of them. The time you're talking about it was a golden POV. Nathan did use it to save Ali, but since he couldn't get put up, David got put up instead. There hasn't been a non-golden POV since BB3

One of the things I would like to see changed about BB is the "automatic" POV competition. Instead, I would like to see another weekly challenge with a "mystery" reward option, where one of three boxes would offer the POV. (The other two would be some type of prize or luxury reward).
This way POV would not be looked at as an automatic way to put up the "real" person you are trying to evict via a "backdoor" nomination. 8/22/2005 8:22:25 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
They could also let everyone be in the Veto competition, that way everyone could have a chance to make sure they didn't get the backdoor move placed on them. It really is a crappy way to evict someone, but if I were playing for money and there was a super strong player in the game, I could see myself trying to implement it as well. But they should really try to figure out a way to neutralize this technique so the person at least has a chance to save themselves. 8/22/2005 9:05:09 AM |

^^The thing about the POV is that this year for the first time, they said there might be a POV contest with no winner. Howie said that BB reminded him of that fact in the diary room right before he made his noms. He said that's why he didn't try to use the backdoor on James. I was pretty pissed at BB when the POV comp that week didn't have a possibility of not having a winner.
The first few seasons had everyone competing in the POV comps. I remember liking the rule change and the strategy involved in making your decisions on who competes. As bitchass as it is, I kinda like the ability to backdoor someone. 8/22/2005 9:49:36 AM |

She was talking junk about Rachel's facial expressions...but they were warranted since Beau's comments were dumb as shit.
I knew James would win it, you could see 5:27 when Janelle went for the last one but when you saw her keep going down over and over you knew it wasn't going to end well. She was close though, I'll give her that.
And James is really smart, he can potentially play back and forth next week. I mean if they can remove Ivette/Maggie/Beau, one of those three, that other team has NO strong players left. Where as Janelle, Howie/Rachel(whichever is left) and James would make a really strong team.
And then again, if the "friendship" wins it again, James is safe another week forbidding one of the nominees winning veto.
James is a veto machine though, haha, very impressive. Another reason why Howie SCREWED up when he turned on James and Sarah. And another thing that would have been avoided had King Kaysar not been evicted originally! 8/23/2005 9:52:59 PM |

i'm pretty sure he meant that before they didn't really know which group she belonged to or what side she was playing or that her personality was a mystery. now supposedly things are very clear to them about who she is and who is she playing for/with.

Yeah that's why I couldn't figure out the suprise on why she was making funny faces, cause that was a horrid explanation, why not just tell the truth? "I chose you because you're not in my alliance and you're partners with Howie so now me and Ivette will be the last team here."
James has a good chance of making it a few more weeks, but he has to start considering getting away from the "friendship". If they get rid of the other group, then he'll be the first they boot off from their group. But if he and the two remaining from the "Jedi Council" can take control of the game, he can make it to the final 3 and have better odds of surviving. Whatever they do they'll pretty much HAVE to backdoor James, he is absolutely incredible at Veto competitions.
The Jedi Council MUST win this week if they want to have a chance at winning this thing. I think CBS should make the next two HoH competitions to play to their strengths to help balance it out.
Just imagine had Kaysar not left the house that first week, and had he been there to guide Howie in the right direction, they could have pretty much eradicated the "friendship" with no problems. They would have had the human Veto machine on their team and I think James was set to help that alliance as long as his head wasn't on the block. Worst move Howie could have possibly made, and now his team is all but gone. 8/24/2005 9:05:39 AM |

the only possible way i'd enjoy this show up until the end is if the final 2 players were NOT of the friendship alliance. if there is one member of that alliance up there, they would win, b/c they would have too many votes in the sequester house. counting jennifer, who is still technically playing the game, they've got up to 4 votes (if one of them makes it to the end). now if 2 of them make it, then for obvious reasons, i'll be pissed, and i won't give a rat's ass who wins.
^^^ Quote : | "James has a good chance of making it a few more weeks, but he has to start considering getting away from the "friendship"." |
i couldn't agree with you more. if he stalls for too long with the friendship, then he will have NO (ok, a very SLIM) chance at making it all the way. not unless he plans on winning out all the veto competitions, which isn't a safe plan. i've been pulling for james for the past week or so; i've been wanting him to win HOH just to see what would happen. he got a raw deal, like michael did. but unfortunately, even if he does make it to the end, i'm not sure he would win anyways, as not many in that house would vote for him.

^James really couldn't just bank on winning the veto every week, because they know the ONLY way to get rid of him is the backdoor method so he wouldn't even have a chance to defend himself.
I think he'll judge his move based on the HoH competition this week. He'll either win it and jump ship, council wins it and he jumps to their ship, or the friendship wins it and he holds on another week and has to hope he wins HoH the next week and can get Beau and Ivette to join him. 8/24/2005 4:42:57 PM |

I think James could very possibly give the HOH to someone else (but not act like he did). Depending on who is left, he would be smart to give the HOH to Janelle or Racheal/Howie, & possibly Ivette, if he has the chance. He should be safe, it would keep a target off of him, & let the two teams pick off each other. Maggie really is the only who wants him out more than the other teams. This would also allow him to compete in the following week's HOH which I think would be more important for him, as this week would likely just be whittling down of the opposing teams.
I honestly am not certain he didn't do this last week, since he knew who Beau would go after.
