They had to make the human-like cylons as human-like as possible so as not to arouse suspicion.

However, I wish they would go in to more detail about what the human-like cylons are. I remember in once scene, one was making out with someone, and their back was glowing red. What are they?

yea, baltar said they have some special antibodies or some shit like that. they are different in some areas as was stated.

baltar also notes a while back the carbon backbones of cylons were hexagons and not octagons (a repeating pattern among them, paper n stuff).
interestinly enough, actual humans utilize hexagonal carbon backbones (hexagonal rings are more stable) and only rarely would you find an octagon. they actually kinda alluded to that the cylons may be more like earth humans then the colonials.

ok well, you sorted it out for me.

i thought the doctor noticed something that was different from cylons and humans. No, he saw something that was possible problem for any human. since the cylons were designed, and since he knew she was a cylon, he was surprised that a problem like the one she was experiencing hadnt been taken care of. hence your statement that biocylons and humans are nearly identical is still intact.

true, they also havent mentioned that nuke that they gave him, and that he then gave to 6. unless ive missed something. it was supposed to be for his research.

it seems strange that they can tell when a nuke is fired at them, but cant tell when the one they gave to Baltar is moved.

Both of those plotlines are going to come to a head tonight. Since Baltar's Cylon detection method supposedly relies on the use of the nuclear warhead, and now Gina has it... well, you can figure it out.

logically, you cant have a season '2.5'. youre either this season, or next season. besides, wiki is know for BS, if sci-fi's official site says this is season 2, its season 2.

season 3 will be the third season. (thats why it will be called, season 3)
