I can see that, but the South has the permanent bottom dweller Saints (who have never, and never will be worth a fuck) so they automatically are the easier division

at one point it was possible that both wildcard teams come from the South...also the East started like 5-2 for every team which is certainly good, but then they didnt play as well

the same scenario was possible for 3 NFC south teams to be in it around week 14, but Atlanta lost and Carolina lost to Dallas.

Carolina should have beaten Dallas and be 12-4 right now with a first round bye...but the refs fucked up. However, I like their shot against da Bears next week, so I'm fine with the slaughter on NY in place of a bye. Plus, its more exciting this way.

if you want to bitch about a game, I think the Panther's first game of the season was intentionally thrown so that the NFL could save face. The refs made horrible calls, and the Panthers didn't even play like they wanted to win. good PR stunt, but it affected who from the NFC south got the wild card slot and who won the division.

I don't think the game was thrown, but everyone was sucking the Saints' dicks and the refs were awfully biased. They wanted to keep people in the Gulf from rioting I guess.

they knew that game would be receiving a lot of attention and millions of people that normally wouldn't give a shit would be pulling for the Saints. the game was horribly officiated, and the Panthers played very half-ass. If there was a game that the NFL wanted to rig this year, that would be the one to pull off for publicity reasons.
