Go Phils.

On another note, Ryan Howard is at 197 strikeouts on the season and will likely be the first person ever to fan 200 times in a season. GG

in the incredible excitement of the past few weeks i've lost perspective on just how big of a collapse this is

the mets were up seven games with 17 games left in the season

this has to be the biggest choke job i've ever seen

WHY THE FUCK CAN WE NOT BEAT THE GOD DAMN FUCKING PHILLIES. THEY BLOW ASS AGAINST EVERYONE ELSE IN THE LEAGUE BUT CANNOT DO ANYFUCKINGTHING WRONG AGAINST THE METS.

I mean the division race is over but it's fucking god damn annoying watching the wifebeater on the mound closing out win after win.. it's not even like they are blowing us out.

The Phils were up what.. 6.5 games with 10-12 to play back in 64? I think that's regarding as the biggest choke job in MLB.

Mets, seriously?

Seriously. Come the fuck on. Wrap this up and make the playoffs.

Honestly, as much as I'm supposed to hate the cross town rivals, it pains me to watch this collapse.

Phightin' Phils have 3 home games left vs. the Nationals.

The Mets have 3 homes games left vs. the Marlins.

I like the Phils to take 2 and the Mets to only take 1.

Thankfully, the Mets have actually done well against Florida even in the middle of their swoon. Florida is just so horribly bad fundamentally and defensively that even a team playing as shitty as the Mets can luck themselves into a win or two.

David Wright for MVP my ass.

You don't lead your team to a collapse like this and then win the MVP.

Atleast when Arod won it with the Texans his team sucked the entire year.

Someone should suspend the Mets for 6 months. Oh wait, they just did that to themselves.

haha, up 7 with 17 to play and you don't even make the playoffs.

HAHAHAHHAHAHA, oh the hilarity. SUCK IT.

Atleast the Braves went down trying.

Season is not over with yet. They can still tie with the Padres and pass the Phillies. I hope to God that they don't...

what is the NYM-PHI season record in case of tiebreaker... this is far from over, though the magic number must be what, 1 to clinch a TB?

^ Tie breakers are done by playing games. They had some coin flip shit and released the results, but since it is possible that 5 teams could finish with the same record battling for 3 spots, it makes the tie breaker situation horribly confusing.

A straight NL East tie breaker would be played in Philly.

A 35 ft dribbler.. amazing.

The best pitching performance a Mets pitcher has had since Seaver they said... when they need it most.
