Coach Lowe, the best way to beat unc is to slow them down

^^The only way to do that is great D. Other than that, we might as well try to go Phoenix Suns on them.

by my count unc has 4"

unc's first title was in '53...

'modern era' ncaa champs start in '55 with the introduction of the shot clock....

most 'titles' before this usually are not counted.... just like NFL championships are not usually counted before the inception of the superbowl...

I'm glad the ACC dominated the B10(11) 8-3 this year.... *hint* there is a reason why the B10 hasn't ever won this challenge....

^Yeah, I wish it could be an ACC-Big East challenge....it would be much more competitive. Its pretty anti-climatic when the ACC is one or at most two wins away from winning it by the last night.

By the way, can anyone find the history of the Challenge (scores as well as locations?). Seems like UNC plays at home every year, plus I dont recall Duke playing on the road any except for their game last year.

Bullshit.

ESPN hype for a player that never has played a game is always spot on.

Sincerely,

Marcus 'New Mexico' Vick

they were showing that he averaged 22 points and 11 boards a game in high school. i would think that if he was as dominant as they make him out to be, he would have more then that against high schoolers.

if you're 7'1" you should average about 40 in high school.

I've seen him play in the McDonald's All American game, and he dominated out there. Plus Okafor was a junior when he left, plus a national champ, plus NPOY.

The same could be said for Brandon Wright or Ty Lawson.

some will still stay, mostly b/c nba scouts will be like 'stay put for another year and you will be lottery' or something, some will definitely leave though

not deep enough to take the fouls or deep enough for stamina issues

if state has to drop back in that 2-3 or maybe a matchup zone that might slow them down but not if they makes 3's and put constant pressure on the ball

but Lowe will have them more pumped up than Herb ever did, i do know that

arab13, I hate to disagree with you but the first official title for UNC is in 57, the 1924 one no one counts

so that's 1957, 1982, 1993 and 2005

4

you do realize that no defense is played in the mcdonalds game right? and what i meant was that his defense might be as good as okafor's as far as blocking/altering shots, but he isn't an offensive force by any means (whereas okafor was pretty skilled offensively when he left).

and i'm pretty sure lawson and wright will have played half a season when oden starts his first game

I need to bookmark this thread so that it can be brought up later when the Big10 gets 7 NCAA tournament bids and the ACC gets 4.
