of course... ha ... I'll even tell you my weight... I'd like to lose 30lbs.
2/20/2007 6:17:48 PM
i ate 3 pieces of pizza today i went to the gym and now i feel like ralphingeating greasy food (especially before a workout) is now a huge no-no
2/20/2007 6:20:26 PM
So you cardio buffs, should I be doing more than jsut the elliptical now that I can hadnle it? Should I always increase my cardio or is it good to do 30 mins. a time and still sweat/get my heartrate up? I notice I don't get as thirsty anymore and it's easier to do but I like to be done after thirty mins. however I don't feel totally drained anymore.
2/20/2007 6:21:18 PM
yeah... I usually try to work-out on an empty stomach.
2/20/2007 6:21:45 PM
Me too, eating and working out sucks.
2/20/2007 6:22:41 PM
well i usually eat like an apple or so about 1/2 hour before i work out, if not i can't run as hardand as far as the cardio goes, ive been doing the "breath test" i make sure that for at least 1/2 of my workout i'm out of breath and I wouldn't be able to hold a conversationi've been running for 1/4 mile then walking 1/4 of a mile for about 2.5-3 milesits been working out really good for me
2/20/2007 6:34:52 PM
i'm not sure if it is a good idea eating on a totally empty stomach. thats kinda like running your car on E. just better to put a little bit of good food in your stomach a bit before you start to work out so your body has something to work off of.
2/20/2007 6:38:11 PM
^ its working off of the fat on my belly
2/20/2007 6:46:57 PM
i don't think that is a good place to get energy from. i'm not an expert by any means though. but i'd think that emptied out. your body would be trying to pull energy from nothing. and you'd put bad stress on yourself.
2/20/2007 6:49:38 PM
yeah, push that cardio up to 45 minutes, kiwi, if you think you can do it. just go 5 minutes more at a time, until you're comfortable, then push it up a little bitthats what i've done, and even as a smoker, it's helped tremendously
2/20/2007 6:52:51 PM
doesnt it pull from there anyways after you work out for like 20 mins, why not just cut to the chase
2/20/2007 6:53:59 PM
working out is for chumps. Im at almost 30lbs lost in 7 weeks, with no exercise at all.of course im eating shit like tonights dinner of TVP and Veggies. a huge tupperware container is only like 500 calories and makes like 2 meals.
2/20/2007 7:02:13 PM
^yeah, you're losing weight in the most unhealthy way possible, and you'll put it all right back on as soon as you start eating normally again
2/20/2007 7:03:39 PM
I wont be going back to my ways. I wont be a fast food hound. Im staying dairy and most meat free. I might go back to having grilled seafood though.
2/20/2007 7:12:29 PM
Can you get pills or somehting that'll help deal with your lactose intolerance?Cause calcium rich dairy products are some of the most nutritious substances you can put in your mouth.Meat isnt unhealthy either. One of these days im going to teach you some real nutrition[Edited on February 20, 2007 at 7:14 PM. Reason : ]
2/20/2007 7:13:57 PM
ive taken all there is too offer, nothing works. all i can stomach is lactose free milk and vegan dairy products.red meat makes me poop as well.[Edited on February 20, 2007 at 7:15 PM. Reason : ]
2/20/2007 7:15:02 PM
Vegan dairy is an oxymorondrink lactose free milk then. Its better than soymilk
2/20/2007 7:21:49 PM
thats what i do. but i hate milk. so i usually just have a little with my cereal, and thats it
2/20/2007 7:43:56 PM
That'sa good idea, Joie, with the working yourself hard for so many minutes. The elliptical measures my heartrate and it gets up there for a steady amount of time but I'm not worn out afterwards. That's why I've been going to Jacob's ladder afterwards. I guess I can start doing that although I hate that damn thing.
2/20/2007 9:51:34 PM
With the warm weather today I got a chance to wear "less" clothing, meaning I wasn't hiding behind a huge sweatshirt. I see a difference. Yay! Motivation back in gear! [Edited on February 21, 2007 at 6:12 PM. Reason : dfhfg]
2/21/2007 6:11:42 PM
i bought a new bikini. size medium from buckle. i am ready for the fucking beach.
2/21/2007 6:12:43 PM
2/21/2007 6:13:42 PM
mirror kept my ass motivated. mostly i just started by walking a mile around my neighboorhood as fast as possible, moved up to running 5 miles in about 4- 5 months. i never hit any plateaus. i just keep dropping weight. i just like to make sure i have enough music to make me feel sexy when i'm running, cause i know at the end, i will be sexy. i dunno. i don't diet, i eat what i want, but portion sizes are much smaller.
2/21/2007 6:16:55 PM
You jsut kept upping the intensity on your cardio then, I guess I need to start doing that! Thanks.
2/21/2007 6:18:31 PM
no prob. i lost about 100 lbs all together. it's easy to keep off once you've done it too. i'm 5'11" 135 and i think i'm pretty much good here. maybe shave off anouther 5 to 10, but no more than that.
2/21/2007 6:19:50 PM
Do you jsut constantly exercise now to keep it off or what? I wonder if it's even possible for me to lose that much weight by July but I know once the warmer months come I'll drop weight naturally because I don't like eating as much or something happens. Happens every spring, I'm jsut trying to get a head start.
2/21/2007 6:21:16 PM
no. i mean, i'm pretty lax about working out now. i try to do it about 3-4 times a week. that's about as good as i can be. basically manage what you put in your mouth food wise and you'll be golden on keeping the weight off.
2/21/2007 6:22:41 PM
Coolios. I hope I can make it!
2/21/2007 6:23:37 PM
you can. just be commited.
2/21/2007 6:24:08 PM
Word.
2/21/2007 6:24:38 PM
im down 30 as of today. with no exercise...and 1 week short of 2 months.
2/21/2007 6:32:07 PM
there will come a point where you need to look past weight, and look at clothing sizethats if you are also lifting weights
2/21/2007 6:44:34 PM
2/21/2007 7:16:05 PM
Yeah clothes are looking better and I have dropped one pant size in new clothes but old clothes still don't fit right. Some do, some don't. It's confusing and deceitful. I'm just gonna work harder.
2/21/2007 8:21:53 PM
i actually had to start putting holes in my belts...in the opposite direction im used to. it makes me smile.
2/21/2007 8:25:23 PM
I just hope you don't gain it all back and then some!
2/21/2007 8:26:51 PM
^^You lost 30 lbs. in 2 months? Good job![Edited on February 21, 2007 at 8:27 PM. Reason : ]
2/21/2007 8:27:00 PM
I wish I had that metabolism! But from what I'm noticing each time I lsot weight previously it was all muscle, I'm less flabby now and haven't "lost" much weight...so there ya go.
2/21/2007 8:28:52 PM
2/21/2007 8:29:35 PM
w00t! Just keep on keepin' on!!
2/21/2007 8:30:40 PM
Word, I keep moving up in the world... I have done the elliptical the last three nights moving up a significant amount of time each night... I also have it at the second highest setting. I can feel my cardio stength getting better. Yay!
2/21/2007 11:31:20 PM
Ok so someone explain to me why recently when I get into a really intense workout I feel like I'm going to puke or faint. This is NOT cool at all.
2/22/2007 10:06:13 AM
i need to lose 10-15 by June 22nd. today is exactly 4 months til my wedding!
2/22/2007 10:17:56 AM
just get fatter so the guy knows what hes getting himself into.
2/22/2007 10:20:16 AM
So these new pants I bought, which are a size smaller, are getting baggy. Sweet!I think my problem is I don't eat before I go, maybe I should grab a granola bar. That way I have something to puke up when I get upset!
2/22/2007 10:55:48 AM
don't do that. people usually get nausea during their workout from either low blood sugar levels or from motion sickness. if you eat something low in calories but high in carbs and then start working out, your blood sugar will plummet and it will make the situation worse. Also, you want to be burning fat during your workout - not the food you just ate.are you looking at your feet when doing cardio? that can cause motion sickness.
2/22/2007 11:33:53 AM
dehydration?
2/22/2007 11:34:45 AM
I drink throughout the workout. I don't stare at my feet. I just notice that I get faint after doing something that begins to hurt and really makes me struggle. If I move too quick I get lightheaded, dizzy, faint. I'm constantly drinking though, however my need for water has gone down. I don't know if the ventilation in the building is poor or what but it sucks, I want to work my ass off not worry about staying conscious.Recommendations?

Weight Watchers...A chick at work went from 320- 125, it took her 16 months, but she looks GREAT!
