I am not sure what the officials were thinking there. It was pretty obvious that they guy wasn't watching his foot moving the puck. He was trying to stop. gg Rags none-the-less. Maybe Briere will cry some more for us like he did last year when they get the boot.

This was a good win for our team just because it showed that we would fight through anything, including getting fucked over again and again and again by the officials.

Also, these Vancouver "Stick-in-a-box" jerseys are pretty awesome.

They've been using them as alternates since 2003.

Also, they didn't stop using them originally until '78, so some of them could be from old closets and things.

They'll be going to the stick-in-a-box for all games next season.

apparantly they use this as their logo too


and looking at this (stick in a box) it also looks like a whale face smiling which can tie into there being a whale on their other logo

The "stick-in-a-box" logo was in use along with blue/green jersey when the Canucks entered the NHL in 1970. In 1978, they changed colors and ended up with the "big V" jerseys. In 1985, they switched to the "skate on a plate" logo, and in 1997 they changed colors and logos again to the "orca" pictured above, because the team had been purchased by a company called Orca Bay.

Orca Bay is looking to decrease its interest in the team, so it has been suggested in many places that the new uniform will be the RBK version of the current throwback, but the GM claims it will be the orca logo in new colors.

The NJ game this weekend was amazing.

The Sabres game made me break a glass (oops).

Also- I have to say, I was so well behaved this weekend, I came into town for the hike and did not go crazy yelling at the tv and did not act completely annoying during the Sabres game- I mean- that was respectful right there (I also did not really want to get punched in the teeth either).

i really couldn't tell whether it crossed the line or not.

but god i hate lindy ruff. there is no way he could tell whether it was across the line or not from his point of view. but mark my words, he'll have sand in his vagina over this during the press conference and and probably use this as a crutch if they get eliminated...even though pretty much every other call has gone his way during the playoffs. if it wasn't for him, i'd like the sabres.
