Yeah it is still an instant KO unless it is a giant level like that one from Earthbound (Pork City I think?). I have only ever been able to hit CPU players because they are the only ones dumb enough to walk right into it.

Trying to unlock stuff by going to the gallery and picking a task is strangely addictive.

And I made up all these fun taunt messages! BTW How do those work??? I play with the wiimote and nunchuck... also I use Samus and I see you can switch between zero suit and regular by hitting up taunt and down taunt repeatedly???? Does that just mean hitting "1" and "2" a lot for me?


I was kinda getting board with everything and SSE mode, I though online would suck (it does have some lag issues) But it is amazing!!! Definitely brings back the old days of having 4 guys playing each other on the N64!

Everyone who posts their friend code needs to make sure they add everyone else, otherwise we won't be able to communicate. I added everyone that was on the list last night, but some people I added a few days ago still say "Awaiting Registration" on the friend codes menu.

I added everyone on the list, I guess I just didn't check to see who was on when you were online, mildew. I did play some games against random players and that was really fun, I just wish that we could do stock battles with those. Honestly, who does timed matches? I have determined that the characters are a lot more balanced in this game than they were in melee too. Also, I seem to have trouble unlocking characters for some reason... I hit 100 brawls total yesterday and didn't get anything from Lucario, and I beat event 20 and didn't get Jigglypuff. Anyone have any ideas as to why?

I've just been playing VS mode with 300% damage, 1 cpu, flower head, 1 life, and giant players. Lol, trying to unlock people as quickly as possible before I figure out if I want to change favorite characters from the last game.

You can play stock online vs. registered friends, but if it is just against random people on the internets, you can only play a 2-minute basic brawl.

So can I get Jigglypuff by just beating classic mode without Ike or will I have to beat SSE before I do that too?

I really wish you could play vs. friends online on the custom stages too.

For those of you having trouble with the 100 Man Brawl- Use Meta Knight. His up and down aerial attacks are one hit kills, and his down smash is an instant kill, is extremely fast, and it hits in front and behind.

For the Home Run Contest, if you want to break 1500, the easiest thing I've found is simply throw the bat at Sandbag over and over and smash it at the last second. I almost always get over 1500 that way.

If you're having trouble getting the Target Smashes in under the time limits:
For the Level 4, use Fox. Shoot the target to your immediate right, and then run right and fall down the slope and shoot the target in the ice immediately in front of you. You might have to wait a second for it to appear. Run left and jump and shoot the target in the little niche, and around this time (10 sec or so) another target will be coming up from under you. Try to hit it. Around the 12 second mark, after you've dropped down to the lower level from where you start, there should be a target to your right that is coming towards you inside the wall. Use your right smash to break it. There should be two more targets to your left; try to break them both. If the lower one drops into the lower floor, just travel down there taking the left path and you'll get a second chance. Continue following the path until you get to the target in the gap; use Fox's fire move to break it. Make sure you angle it right, because Fox never grips the ledge to the right for some reason. The last target is to the right and up inside a small niche. Just jump right from the target you just broke and use your fire move into the last target. This is the hardest one to get the time in by far.

For Level 5, use Falco. His laser travels farther, so jump up and hit the target immediately above you, then shoot to the right. If you aimed correctly, you should have hit another target that is off screen. Move to the left and DROP down and hit the target in the air, and then hit the 2nd target below that one. You need your 2nd air jump to grab the ledge to the right. Make sure you grab the ledge, then jump off, double jump, and use your fire move to hit the target in the little niche to the left. Jump to the right and onto the elevator, and jump up and fire your laser at the target immediately to the right. You can try to smack it or use your fire, but it can be difficult to secure a landing spot below. After hitting that target, drop down and grab the sword. Go all the way to the right and jump up and throw your sword up at the target above. While the sword is in the air, hit the target through the wall on your right. When the sword comes down, throw it to the left at the two targets. It will hit one target and bounce off and hit the last one.


For getting Level 1 under 15 seconds, it is simple enough with Fox. Jump up immediately and shoot the target to your left. Drop down and hit the rest of the targets. It's fairly easy.

You get a trophy for getting 1500 in the home run contest. You also get trophies for having a combined 30000, 37500, and 45000 ft with all your characters. You also get another trophy for doing the home run contest with all characters.

I got the old Gamecube controllers out yesterday and tried them, and found it to be a MUCH more comfortable setup for me. I was able to do a lot more damage, though it was probably also because I am much more familiar with that setup from Melee.

I'm not quite sure how the registration thing works. I have added most of the people on the list and about 5 of my own friends. Most of my own friends have gone through but I think it might just be a case of not everyone having everyone else added. If it is in fact added, then the actual friend code will not be displayed next to their name, their avatar will appear (if they have one selected), and it will just say "Offline" or "Online". The yellow/green dot I think is probably just an indicator of how well you have connected with that person. Also, if the nickname they use is online is different from the one that you assigned them, their one will override yours.

Okay so I was able to find a decrypter that converted the Wii's .bin screenshots to .jpg (Lord knows why Nintendo wouldn't just make the Wii automatically save them as .jpgs... That seems to be what everyone thinks... I use the wii mote and nunchuck. And it did suck at first, but once you put in a few hours you get used to it just as you would anything else. It was kinda like playing an entirely different system, since this is my first game not using the motion or pointing abilities of the controller
