Damn, we lost momentum earlier than I remembered... Because that hit was the only thing that had put the crowd back into the game for a while.

ha. I went to school with #13(Owen Spencer). He was so close to having his first td reception. If only he had been 10 feet tall.

"Well we currently have the #22 ranked recruiting class and only have 12 commits. By the time the class fills out we could be top 20. Heck if a couple more of the big boys commit we could have a top 15 class."

Unless several people decide to go to some other team because we've shown them that we suck.

"NCSU has some of the worst fans I have ever seen. Do they support the teams? Sure. But they expect WAY too much and get WAY too upset when their average and below average teams perform to just that....average and below."

Come to think of it I can't think of any other college in America where the fans expect too much and get so upset when their team loses all the time.

Quote :
"you know its bad when in the alumni section you have people yelling for us to seriously just kick a field goal on 1st and goal just because they KNOW we're going to turn it over or do something stupid"

Ha. Yeah, I heard that a lot. I've even heard a slight variation... just punt on 1st down.

Did I expect us to be 1-4 by this time in the season? Sure. Did I expect us to look so bad on the field on our way to that record? No. You can go 1-4 and still show some promise for the rest of the season, or you can go 1-4 like we have and show that we'll probably end up 2-10.

haha. From today's Campus Forum in the Technician.

Quote :
"My son has a potty mouth thanks to NCSU students

I am writing to appeal to the better judgment of our students attending football games. As an alumnus, I bring my young, impressionable children to the football games. I am to the point of just keeping them at home due to the bad behavior they are seeing. They've watched you stumble down the stairs, they've watched a few of you tumble into one another in drunken stupor, and tonight my six-year-old son came home reciting the phrase, "Bulls---! Bulls---! Bulls---!" It rolled right off his lips: "Bulls---. Bulls---! I'm outta here." He can clearly see how ridiculous drunk people look, but what is he learning about good sportsmanship on the part of our fans?

While you are out having "fun" at the games, do remember that young children are watching you. We sit in section 6, right next to you. Someday it's going to be your kids out there. Is this what you want them to see when they come back to your alma mater?

Sincerely,
Jennifer Gilmore '90"

...

she's actually complaining about Bullshit?
i mean, i'd see her argument if the kid had picked up "Fuck you you fucking fucked up fuckhead referees"...

but you'll hear bullshit at any athletic venue in the country...
hell, i've heard it at high school games...
if she didn't expect that, then she's a moron

it's a good thing they weren't sitting beside me cause he would probably be saying "fuck the mic guy".

And More injuries:
Harrison Beck, QB - Out, AC separation
Marcus Stone, TE - Questionable, ankle sprain

Maybe it was posted already, but check out this article. Kraglethorp's quote is priceless....

Quote :
"RALEIGH - Another week, another injury for N.C. State quarterback Harrison Beck.
An injured left shoulder knocked Beck out in the third quarter of the Wolfpack's 29-10 loss Saturday to Louisville. X-rays taken at Carter-Finley Stadium before the end of the game were negative, N.C. State officials said, but Beck's status is uncertain going forward.

"He has a 'shoulder,' that's all I know," State coach Tom O'Brien said.

With just less than seven minutes left in the third quarter, Louisville linebacker Preston Smith hit Beck at State's 33-yard line. Beck winged the ball out of bounds and was called for intentional grounding. Smith was credited with a sack.

Beck took one more snap, throwing a 53-yard pass to Donald Bowens, then left the game.

In last weekend's loss to Clemson, Beck missed the final three quarters with a sprained right knee. He didn't show any signs of that injury against Louisville. He completed 17 of 28 passes for 181 yards before leaving the game. He also threw two interceptions, giving him nine for the season.

Daniel Evans relieved Beck for the second straight week. Evans was 7-for-11 for 68 yards with a touchdown pass.

State's two quarterbacks combined to throw for 249 yards, the fewest by a Football Bowl Subdivision team against Louisville's defense this season. Syracuse threw for 423 yards in last week's 38-35 upset win at Louisville.

"I think they blew coverages more in the past," O'Brien said. "They made some adjustments on defense to take away the stuff that hurt them."

Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe said his pass defense, which entered the game ranked 104th in the country and allowing more than 282 yards per game, played a more sound game than the one against Syracuse.

"We wanted to make them move the ball," Kragthorpe said. "We didn't feel like they could do it on a consistent basis and we thought that (Beck) would throw it to us a couple of times and he did."

Honestly, that might be true but I was at the game in the opposite section to see it and we were driving for the one that didn't look like it.

rflong,

That article makes it sound like Beck faked those injuries to get out of the games:

X-rays taken at Carter-Finley Stadium before the end of the game were negative

In last weekend's loss to Clemson, Beck missed the final three quarters with a sprained right knee. He didn't show any signs of that injury against Louisville.
