i didn't say it wasn't a blow-out

but tulane did hang with lsu for a while. it was within a score until halfway through the third quarter, at which point lsu started piling it on. flynn was pretty limited the whole time, considering who he was playing.

i watched that game and for three quarters i was thinking "wow this is our #1 team in the country??" that kind of competition shouldn't normally be able to hang with a national championship contender, even for a half. (obviously this isn't a normal year, teams have bad/good games, etc etc)

At this point in the season doing score comparisons through other games doesn't mean jack. I am taking a look at LSU, and taking a look at OSU, and saying this could very easily be a blowout. I just think they are healthy and we could see the defensive team that showed up against VT back in week 2 of the season.

Mizzou should be playing UGA right now, they really looked good today.

I figured the USC game was going to be a blowout, I also thought florida would kill UM but it turned out to be one of the best bowl games so far. I was excited for this game until the opening drive when it was clear that on size and athleticism alone this wasn't going to be close.

I give Hawaii a lot of credit though, considering their facilities, and location it is amazing they are able to compete in general, even if it is in the WAC. At least next year they'll lose in their first game of the season and we won't have to worry about them in the BCS.

^^^ no, this is a pretty weak QB class, he'll be a 2nd-3rd round pick still as long as he does well at the combine. Teams always need qb's.

Why do they have to be overrated, maybe UGA was underrated? If I am a fan I'd give my team the underrated chant(obviously nobody does that, just saying), aka we should be playing on Jan 7th, not in this game vs. this team. Just saying I'd rather build my team up, then tear my opponent down.

The issues were more that the Rose bowl should have taken UGA(which they could have) but chose tradition instead. The other issue is the rule that if a mid major is in the top 12 they must go, which is crap as well. The top 10 teams in the final bcs should be the 10 bcs teams. But I don't mind Hawaii going, they put up about as much of a fight as Ill. If UGA played USC, and Ill played Hawaii we probably would have ended up with 2 much better games. Mizzou got fucked, but they should have been where Kansas is.

Mizzou had 2 losses, both to Oklahoma. Kansas had one loss, to Mizzou, who they outplayed in the second half and almost overcame a terrible start. I'd say it was a push.

I'm not sure they should have added the fifth BCS game.
