"What happened to all of the talk that Lebron's help was better than Kobe's????"

I don't think anyone argued that Lebron's help was better than Kobe's this year. Kobe obviously has the much better squad around him in 2007/2008. Lebron definitely had a better team the previous 2 years though.

Consider that Kobe's starting point guard, Smush Parker, got cut by the Miami Heat (worst team in the league) this season and then couldn't find minutes on the Clippers. His starting center, Kwame Brown, is now stuck on Memphis Grizzlies bench, post-Gasol. Also Farmar and Vujacic were practically useless prior to this year.

I think Detroit will win in 6. Two seven game series in a row will start to wear on that team, and Detroit should be able to steal games 1 or 2 in Boston. Detroit's starters are better big game players than Boston's and I trust them more in a close game than anyone on the Celtics save Pierce.

yo tree, what happened to your NBA knowledge today?

Eric Snow is retired.

I'm taking the Pistons over the Celtics in 7. Lakers out of the west, and Lakers over Detroit in the finals.

So, the refs can replay the play to check to see if a foul was before the quarter ended, but not to check if a shot was before the quarter ended if the shot clock didn't start.

I just see at as a way for the fans to show their support for who they think deserves the MVP, although most of the time it's just the home fans doing it for the best player on their team whether they deserve it or not. And I agree, it was pretty bad when Celtic fans were doing it for Pierce. Anyway it just seems to take a bit away from the chant when all you're doing is confirming it.

But yeah, obviously I'm the only one

^^^yeah, it's exactly like that.

fuck the pistons and fuck the spurs.. two most boring franchises in the NBA.

To cap off a great season with a pistons-spurs championship series would be a tragedy.

^^how are they boring... dont make comments with no reasoning...

i'll agree to bash the spurs cause they flop
as well as the celtics because they just drive and kick (see... duke basketball)
and the spurs do that too now that i think about it

lakers are sweet to watch though, exciting, fast, KOBE...
and the pistons play as a TEAM, closest thing to college basketball in the NBA... so pistons ftw

i want to see lakers/pistons

I don't see how the spurs are that boring, I wish duncan would go for the dunk a little more but his game is still a thing of beauty, parker is relentless going to the basket and finishing and ginobli, despite being a huge flopper, has a lot of flair to his game

I think that Ginobili being injured has had a huge impact on the Spurs & this series. That being said I think that they're just too old and not athletic enough to keep up with some of the quicker / faster teams now a days. I hope they can win a game or two to keep the series interesting, but the Lakers are still going to win. It should be interesting this off season to see what the Spurs do in terms of their roster and possible rebuilding.

I don't think this is about how old or unathletic the Spurs are. Because one could say that the Hornets are younger, faster and more athletic than the Lakers. This is about how good the fucking lakers are

its kind of crazy to think about the mixture of talent and experience that the lakers have. Its even evident in the coaching staff.

I used to hate kobe, but he's def one of the best players to watch on tv.

Another random note, you know all the tv channels are praying for a lakers/celtics finals, it would be so easy as a producer to hype up that "old school" series
