Duke's band was one of the smallest I have ever seen. They cut out about half our fight song when they played it. I love the Highest Graduation Rate sign in the horseshoe endzone. LOTS of drunk Duke students in Halloween costumes, didn't make sense. We R Duke sign had a basketball in the D (I think). There were 4 Duke fans in the State section that I feel certain that is was there 1st Duke game and 1st football game. Good win, need to get ready for Wake.

A few observations:
1. The Graham-to-Neal return for TD was sick. Just sick.
2. The DeAndre Morgan penalty for a personal foul was the WORST call in college football to-date. Maybe even ever.
3. Russell Wilson is the man.
4. Pierson looked good for a few punts, and had me thinking he got the crappy punts out of the way last year, and then Dook got pressure on him and he almost kicked it behind him [sigh].
5. Our receivers are pretty good, against Dook.
6. Our goal line D is pretty good, against Dook and ECU.
7. I was with DoeoJ, and that Dookie did spit at us. Classy.
8. Going to a game at WW really makes me appreciate the atmosphere at CF. Their fans looked and sounded like they had NEVER BEEN TO A FOOTBALL GAME. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO? DO WE CHEER? DO WE MAKE NOISE WHEN WE'RE ON DEFENSE? OFFENSE? WHAT ARE THOSE FUNNY YELLOW THINGS THE REFEREE HAS? Geez.

10. Yay for not blanking out the ACC Wins column this year, guys.

really though, during their 4 plays from the one yard line, the state fans there were cheering loudly, and for obvious reason, and then all the dook fans on the other side of the stadium decided that they should stand up and shout too.

also, i thought it was hilarious when on the video screen they had one of those QUIET ----- LOUD 'meters' that supposedly reacts to crowd noise. it went from quiet to loud, and the graphic exploded into shards of awesomeness...but the crowd had stayed ABSOLUTELY SILENT the whole time.

I went to the game with a buddy of mine (Duke fan) We were sitting in the Iron Dukes and Player Guests section around the 50 on the Duke sideline. Apparently Duke's students didn't get the memo that Halloween was a week ago. They were all drunk assholes not a big surprise, but they were talking shit as they were walking away from WW before kickoff. The Stadium had almost no energy until the 4th quarter when the WOLF PACK chant was really loud and the DOOKIES in our section tried and failed to get a lets go Duke chant going.

The stadium announcer is terrible, he kept calling DeAndre Morgan Andre Morgan. The PF on DeAndre was the 2nd in as many games for him he led with his head but hit him square in the pads. This must be the 1st season for that Referee he seemed lost out there. Good win for the Pack offense looked good in the 1st half, defense bended but didn't break and we beat a very overrated Duke team.

Terrible tailgating atmosphere at Duke also.

I almost wish we could have brought full band, our ~50 member pep band could easily match their whole band, if we'd brought all 280 in that dead silent, tiny stadium we could have peeled the paint off the press boxes, and embarrassed them pretty badly

I think we probably had more students in attendance than their whole student section too, absolutely pathetic, but I know, it is duke football

however, to expect 2 wins out of miami/wfu/unc is almost ludicrous. they did save face, a bit, with their duke/ECU wins. if they beat UNC it might even be a productive season for TOB, at least by the stupid standards that seem to apply.

Regardless of their record, our record, the odds, our/their coach, our talent level, how much bull shit refereeing, and injuries nc state has faced this year- we are still NC State. We're not florida state, miami, virginia tech, or any other generally successful team, but at least we're not and never will be Duke.

I dont know....I think we have a shot at 2, but we sure as hell need to to play better D to pull it off. Its not a retarded projection though.

Whats more likely, is for State to beat wake and unc....take a 10 point lead into the 4th quarter against miami, and have our defense give up two long, time consuming TD drives to sandwich a field goal drive by wilson and us lose by 1. Of course, they score with 15 seconds on the clock or less.

wasn't this what people were saying about wake up until a few years ago????

this was a good win against a team that may not have the most talent but are well coached and play pretty sound. we are getting better every single week. i can't wait till next year; i really believe we are going to be really good.

hey, we can still win the "north carolina" championship. we are 2-0 (ecu and duke) and still play wake and unc. win all those and we have it. i know it is stupid but still something to play for.

not to mention if we beat unc we can officially knock them out of the acc champ. game which would be sweet. and we would have beaten them 2 years in a row.
