wow, j_hova takes a break from tww, and when he comes back he's a huge faggot...go figure

you know you've lost a sports argument when you resort to insulting peoples screen names (or when you imply that the Ravens have a better offense than Pittsburgh in the first place), or when you use points per game as a direct correlation to offense, not taking into consideration defensive and special team scores...or when you say allowing 422 passing yards and 2 TDs to Drew Brees is "shutting him down"...etc...etc...etc

So enough of what I think for right now, look where this guy has the 8-3 Carolina Panthers.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d80ccbb75&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

I wonder why so many people are down on them, yno, being 8-3 and all? Remember, where you heard it first...right here from jh51085. A TWW legend when I call both the Steelers and the Panthers to miss playoffs and it happens.

I doubt that, but at least you arent denying that they wont make it in. The reason I doubt that you heard it elsewhere is because I called it at just the right time before they got exposed by the Falcons. But Please, continue to say Im an idiot and not give me credit for anything. Just makes me work that much harder to prove these Panthers' fans wrong.

hova don't you realize SI just has it out for the Panthers because they picked us to win it all and we choked and made them look bad?

Id like to delve deeper on why I think the Pack will beat Carolina this weekend, and I want to go more than just that GB gets hott when its cold (fact).

1st: The Packers WILL be able to run on the Panthers. The Falcons really exposed the Panthers thsi past weekend and now teams know they can run on you guys. Expect a large dose of Ryan Grant this weekend. I mean, cmon, that last drive by the Falcons where you could not stop Turner, WOW.

2nd: Delhomme will have a rough day. You are already ranked 22nd in pass yds and GB is 6th against the pass. Now I know Brees torched the Packers, but you are not the Saints, you do not have Brees, and you are not in Carolina.

3rd: The last 2 games the Packers have played at home, they have destroyed 2 teams: 1 team that is much better than the Panthers (Indy) and another team that is about equal (Chicago).

4th: "Jake Delhomme revealed in his post-game press conference that he injured his elbow during Sunday's loss to Atlanta.
Delhomme didn't miss a down, but since he's coming off Tommy John surgery on his elbow the situation bears monitoring. He admitted that the elbow was sore after the game. Delhomme could be on the injury report this week. The nearly 34-year-old QB has thrown 12 touchdowns and 9 picks this season"

5th and Final: WOw, I just realized this one. In the last 4 games Carolina has played on the road, they have lost 3 (Minny, TB, ATL) and played very poorly in the other and almost lost to a shit squad (Oak).

This is substantial evidence right here that Carolina will lose, especially 3rd, 4th and 5th point. Anyone got any intelligent responses.

yeah cause journalists never have biases and hold 'grudges'

ps: if you want to get any shred of credibility for being non-biased, next time the Panthers play at home you should give 5 reasons why they will definitely beat the Bucs

Ryan Grant is not Michael Turner. For the most part, Grant has played pooly the entire season...don't expect that to change much.

Hopefully, we'll actually come to play in the 1st quarter and not spot our opponent 17....If so, DeA and Stewart will dictate the tempo of the game and we won't have to rely on Delhomme.

He did hurt his elbow....laceration, he got stitches. My elbow would be sore too if I got stiches in it.

The fact that Indy has no defense, running game and the 7-4 record says they're about equal. The fact that we beat Chicago and the 6-5 record says we're much better than them.

Fact: The Carolina Panthers are 8-3 and tied for the 2nd-best record in the NFC

Fact: 90% of teams to start 7-2 (like the Panthers did) have made the playoffs

Oh noes did the Panthers beat the Packers in Lambeau in the cold. I thought the Packers were invincible in the cold.

9-3 in good position for the Division, with a huge game next week. This will probably be the best Monday Night Matchup of the season for ESPN.

We still have one definite win in these 4 if not 2.

This comment was made by someone named "stixman" earlier. Now previous to that statement, he had never posted on here before, included in this short list is Cali_J, JCTarheel, and Wolfey. Its one thing to argue with me thru the week and then come shove it in my face, but its another to sit their like a bitch with your tail between your legs all week and not defend your team and then come talk shit. No BITCHASSNESS IN HERE!!!

Now that Ive touched on that, Ive been gathering my thoughts since the game. Here is what Ive come up with: I was at a bar today watching the Bucs play, and watching the Panthers game with my friend (Panthers fan). Here is 2 things we both concluded while watching the Panthers game: 1) The Packers really aren't that good (I def overestimated them) 2) Neither are the Panthers. This was really a game between 2 sub par teams.

Now the big question is: Do I see them making playoffs? My answer is still...NO! As I stated in my very 1st post, I see them losing @ATL (Correct), @GB (wrong), TB, and @NYG. I have them beating NO at NO and the game against Denver is a toss-up. After today though, I see them def losing to either Denver or NO, and actually, Im more confident they lose @NO. Tampa played NO today and that offense is truly great. It takes a GREAT defense to stop them like we did today. I dont see many team doing that down the stretch, including Carolina. SO my new predictions: Panthers lose to TB, @NYG, @NO and they beat Denver at home. THey still miss the playoffs. More on this later.

The Panthers didn't allow any TDs at NO a couple weeks ago. Granted the Panthers D has been slipping lately, but the team isn't THAT much different from the last NO game. Still don't see why you think the Panthers are going to lose to NO.

The Panthers won a road game in a historically tough field during a tough time of year. Tampa has been pretty suspect, what with their near loss to KC and spotting 17 to Detroit. They also barely beat NO with Brees putting up 3 INTs. Face it, the Panthers and TB are pretty evenly matched, and the record reflects that.

well I would like to say you played NO in Carolina and that NO's offense explodes in NO. Also this Brees throwing 3 picks thing, as if Brees played bad. If you watch the highlights of those picks, you will see they werent Brees' fault, but the Bucs doing. Brees played well. I will get into the Bucs Panthers matchup later this week and why the Bucs will win that matchup, possibly destroy them.

Oh no I have been called out by a jackass Bucs fan (I have posted in this thread before the Atlanta game), you are right I didn't post until after the game. Truthfully I didn't feel like reading through your biased bullshit. You say you watched the game with a Panthers fan who thinks the Panthers aren't that good tells me that he is not a big Panthers fan. The Panthers looked great going into their bye week and have been out of sync since then, I think today's game could be the game that gets us back into sync and carries us through to the playoffs.

Lets look at some facts, just because the Bucs have struggled against NO doesn't mean the Panthers will. The Bucs lost in New Orleans in Week 1. The Panthers dominated the Saints at home. I think the game in New Orleans will be a little tougher especially because with the Saints being 3 games off the pace their chances of winning the division are very slim so the Saints may be fighting for a wild card berth or fighting to keep the Panthers from the Division. The Panthers will beat the Bucs at home and the Broncos in the next 2 weeks. The Panthers are a better team at home as has been proven by their undefeated record this season. BofA Stadium will be rocking next Monday and the Panthers have an extra day to work on the pass defense which had 3 or 4 blown assignments in the secondary today I expect that will be worked on this week. I still think the Panthers will lose to the Giants, not arguing with you on that one. Every streak comes to an end and the Bucs 5 game winning streak ends Monday. The Panthers may not win with style but winning ugly is still winning.
