Hopefully within the next year or two. I am confident he just needs a little more time and a healthy team. Sure he hasnt had great records his first two years, but he has actually shown promise during those seasons as opposed to someone who finishes .500 in his second year and doesnt look to be improving.

Will it pan out? We'll have to wait and see. But he hasn't had a full season with a quality QB or majority of starters healthy yet.

6-6 has gotten plenty of teams to a bowl. Hell, Maryland got it last year after beating us into the ground. Its stupid to say we don't deserve a bowl at 6-6 when we are an attractive team to have, and plenty of other teams have gone bowling with the same record.

Based on the rules we at 6-6 deserve a bowl. The question is do 6-6 teams (or 7-5 teams with 2 wins over FCS opponents) deserve a bowl game? This would never have been a problem had the NCAA not expanded to a 12 game schedule. With the way it was before you couldn't go .500. You could only go either 5-6 or 6-5. If the NCAA does continue to have 12 game schedules from here on out then they should make the "Clemson rule" which states that a 7-5 team with 2 wins over FCS opponents can not get precedence over a 6-6 team in bowl selection and they will be grouped with the 6-6 teams and treated as such in the bowl selection order. Otherwise the 7-5 team gets rewarded for soft scheduling.

^ I see your point, but in fairness, we had one win over an FCS team too.

So it's not quite as simple as saying we, at 6-6, are better than Clemson at 7-5 because they beat two FCS teams.

If they're 5-5 against real teams, we're 5-6 against real teams.

I'm fine with the rule of counting one FCS win as a regular win. Like you said, with the 12-game schedule, it's hard NOT to have one FCS team.

What the ACC should do is make a 9 game conference schedule

That way we wouldn't go 3-4 years without playing Duke, VT, GT, etc.

Then you only have to schedule 3 non conefrence teams

Honestly though Id rather go to San Fran (Emerald Bowl) than Hawaii. And its a lot more likely.

I hate NCAA about us not being able to go to the DC one though.

^^^^I'm confused. What makes u think we can still go to the Emerald Bowl? The same rule that apparently prohibits us (without special exemption) from going to the Eagle Bank Bowl also prohit us from going to the Emerald bowl (or any other ACC tie in bowl). It looks like the EBB in DC is the most likely ACC tie-in bowl we could get, given Wake's already played Navy and Maryland's exam schedule.

You WILL pick my team for a bowl... grrrr! Gotta love TOB

yeah with the 11 game schedule there's none of this bullshit where teams with 4 wins are going to the gator bowl while other teams with 4 wins are left out. I'm down. The sporting world hates ACC football anyway, fuck'em...we'll play an 11 game conference slate and to hell with the ACC championship game. Nobody wants to go to florida anyway for a football game when chances are your team will be back in less than a month.
