wake didn't play a terrible game. for god's sake they shot 67% in the first half. we're getting better, not that moral victories matter, but we didn't look completely terrible. we were in it in the last minute.

3 things that killed state's chances. The 3 ball that went in with 0 seconds left on the shot clock. Bad recognition by costner to not guard him tight. Degands 3 pointer was awful. Degand missed FT's.

Oh yeah and the fact that we never tied the game or took a lead mentally fatigues a team.

Do you people watch any other games where NC State is not playing? Sure, we would have won if we played perfectly, but there are only a handful of teams that can even come close to achieving that, and guess what they are all way better than us. That includes Wake Forest.

Guess what, when we beat them at the RBC center that was considered an UPSET. Not a god given right. That was an incredible win at the RBC center, and now you expect we are to win AT WAKE FOREST? I repeat, AT WAKE FOREST???? Not with the team we have right now. It is what it is.

way I see it we failed at winning 4 straight to get to 9-7, so we got one more opportunity to do it in the ACC tourny, although it will be a tougher road more than likely.

Wake has only lost one game at home, five games on the season (one at the RBC Center). No need to act shocked when we lose to them at Lawrence Joel. Just my 2 cents.

wake played pretty solid d the entire game and we didn't have an answer for james johnson couple that with the fact that wake was incredibly clutch when they needed to be and they came out with a hard fought win. given our teams shortcomings you really can't be too down on how we played.

I think disappointment is the correct way to describe losing a game that we very much could have won considering how we played. But then that pretty much describes most of the season.

^ very well put. I didn't want to have to interject the "wait till next year" because it's cliche for NC State fans especially, but that's basically what it is, barring a miracle run in the ACC tourny.

IF (HUGE IF) we get Wall/Cousins then next year we can pull off these kind of games. But we don't have that personnel right now. In my eyes we are overachieving at this point, considering where we came from less than a month ago.
