it wasn't bad clock management. it was a smart chess move. fsu had spread offense in the game and did a delaye substitution to bring big guys and the game and line up quick with miamis dbs in the game and get a free run. miami tried to sub at the last second and ended up having to call a time out to prevent the certain td.

well, fsu should not have counted on receiving a gift pass interference call. They lose that game much earlier than 4 seconds left if they don't get that (bad) call.

it was poor clock management.

everyone is saying how good both teams looked but both defenses looked like they had several blown assignments and missed tackles. Tough to tell if the offenses were just that good or what

I don't know why you pass on every opportunity. At least give Ponder a bootleg or something so that he has the option to run or possibly throw it away if things don't look good.

I UNDERSTAND why you pass. But you're two fucking yards out of the endzone...you don't have to completely throw out the option of running.

^They tried to run, and it got stuffed, making them use their last timeout. 17 secs & no timeouts means if the run doesn't work then the coach gets flamed afterward

I'm not saying run it on the first play after you get stuffed...but just don't completely rule it out. Bowden said in the post-game press conference was that his only option was to pass...which is bull-shit to me.

You have a mobile QB and a semi-decent running attack. Pass it a couple times, then maybe give the run a shot. I'm sure the coach is gonna get flamed a little bit regardless because he couldn't punch it in 3/4 times from the 2-yard line.

What an awesome game.

I still don’t think Jacory Harris is that good of a QB, but he made some crucial plays last night when he had to. That corner pass to Travis Benjamin was a thing of beauty. It also looks like FSU might have another Deion Sanders in Greg Reid – albeit a much shorter version.

Just got back from Tallahassee. Probably the best game I've been to. Was on the field. The FSU fans were great. Although disappointingly quiet at times, especially on Miami's last scoring drive. But they were heckling me with my U sweatshirt the whole game, which was fun.

OMGGGGGGG.

They ran an option, which Ponder kept and McCarthy easily stuffed.

And Miami had been getting zero pressure on Ponder the entire game.

I think throwing was fine, Miami's DB's just stepped up huge.

Disagreed. 386 passing yards and leading a game-winning drive with a numb throwing arm and hand...

one I took

miami basically sat in one base defense the entire night and still had missed assignments and blown coverages. I really wish we played them every year until Shannon is fired, because I'm confident TOB would win ~75% of those games

Harris is a legit QB, at least in ACC terms. Even last year, he was by far better than Marve and about as good as any other QB in the conference save RW

One thing I noticed that NO ONE is talking about... and it was late so maybe I'm crazy...

When that last ball fell incomplete their was still time left on the clock.
I am assuming the ball is dead when it hits the ground. The reviewed the catch, but I didn't hear or see anything about reviewing the time.
Does the clock stop on the whistle and this is unreviewable?
Just wondering cause it seemed like they shoulda had one more shot but I didn't hear anyone talking about it so I assum I missed something...

^^^I thought the same, but the official's time is typically slightly off from what the scorekeepers/network has. That was probably why there wasn't another play.

OK, WTF is going on with ESPN on DirecTV? Channel 206 is blacked out, and channel 73, which is supposed to be a simulcast, still has Holtz and company talking about various college games. Hasn't the Clemson game already kicked off?

They moved our game up last week to allow Boise State-Oregon to start earlier. The normal time is 8pm.

GT having a white out and they still cannot sell out the new endzone addition.

Normal time is 8 but they're kicking off at 7:45 and they listed the game as starting at 7:30 apparently.

I lol when the Clemson player who intercepted dropped the ball and just seemed to stare at it and say "What is that on the field?"
