we had freezing rain for a good couple hours before the snow and still have it... and I have heard sirens for the third time this evening so I'm guessing people didn't get the memo that it's probably not a good idea to drive in freezing rain

I wrote it somewhere else, but there's a mountain around here that has a lot of shopping on it.... They straight up shut down the mountain when there's snow, and it's a good 5-10 mile stretch if I had to guess. It's also really busy because it's around the exit for I-65... But I guess if you have like 2 snow plows for a city (or some crazy small number) it's probably best to shut down places with big hills

Well my window is right near the dumpster and it sounded similar to when the garbage truck comes, so I wasn't sure... but I saw lightning so said noise has been confirmed as thunder
