depends... fantasy wise, yes, very. Actual football results, hes pretty fucking good, a crazy number of 4th quarter comebacks for a relatively young career.

Reminds me of Aikman career path wise... obviously Aikman had a better team around him though

Illegal contact should not be automatic first down.

5 yards and replay the down.

the pats aren't going to win it this yr or in this era unless they focus on defense more, I mean yes offense is taking over but you still don't win titles giving up 35 points a game, same deal with the saints, baltimore is the real dark horse it looks so far, putting up serious points and have a defense

Why do they keep rehashing that fumble return as if it as controversial? If it was indeed a pass, did it no go backwards anyway?

The 3-0 Lions are capable this year no doubt about it...

But damn if we don't have a tough schedule this season. These first 3 games were not bruisers by any means. A lot of the rest are big challenges.

challenges in the nfl are such a joke. red flags that coaches don't even bother to throw. getting a third challenge if you get the first two right. the on-field ref watching a video screen. everything about it is stupid.

Gotta admit Romo is pretty good at salvaging those broken plays, I remember he had a snap over his head like that 2 years ago and still ran for a first down.

The interception after that was terrible though.

Win however you can right? No matter how ugly?

Watching the highlights on Sportscenter. The Fletcher hit they showed definitely wasn't as bad as it could have been. For all of Hall's talk it really looked like Fletcher pulled up a bit for whatever reason (he might have thought that the refs would be more inclined to call roughing when an injured qb is involved).

Of course, now Romo has a short week before facing a somewhat better defense (so far) in Detroit. They're 2-1 and have a bye week after Detroit. I wonder if they'll throw in Kitna and pray so they can sit Romo for two weeks.

They really got lucky to escape that game without additional (as far as we know) injuries to Romo. Will they really risk him again against a decent defense? Also, playing injured is one thing in-division against your long time rival. It's quite another against Detroit (still important because it's an NFC game, but not as drastically important).

Lions are also supposed to get Fairley back, which I can't imagine would do anything but make them better.

My #1 complaint is the time they take. It kills the momentum of the game. Most of the time it is painfully obvious what the call should be after they show a replay the second time... yet the challenge goes on for another 5 minutes. Either there's a huge delay in the time it takes to get a feed to the refs or they just purposely extend the time it takes to shoehorn in a few more commercials.

Can't find any language either way, but the announcers often say that the replay officials have every view that they do and they can use the timestamps to match up two angles. There would be no point in reviewing at full game speed and I doubt they get the Redskin fumble recovery right last night, without slowing it down.

One thing I haven't seen anybody talk about (haven't read but the last few posts on here) was that hit on Robinson by Landry... Landry lowers his head and if Robinson isn't a "defenseless receiver" I don't know what is, then to have that bogus call on Elam or Ball (can't remember) was terrible.

Also, Trent Williams false started at least 5 times and never got called. The tackle on the opposite side got caught only once.

To be fair the facemask call on Hall was a little weak.

Probably one of the worst officiating jobs I've seen. Not the biggest calls by any means, but consistently they were missing obvious calls. Oh yeah, how about when Williams tackled Ware when he had a sure sack and no flag. Granted it didn't change anything, because it was a 3rd down incompletion, but if they convert that 3rd down or come close then it becomes huge.
