If someone has one or two passes for Saturday they are willing to sell let me know. I only need it Saturday evening, so kind of a leftover pass if you are maxed out on your bands or leaving town. The club we are trying to go to, Hive, said they aren't doing the limited passes at the door unless the person I spoke with wasn't informed.

I think he's only really looking to see like 3 or 4 bands. The ones I know he is trying to go to are The Hot at Nights, The Roots and possibly The Mountain Goats.

VIP lets you walk into any establishment without waiting in lines, and there will be lines at almost every venue.

It is well worth it. I think you get a vip giftbag, some free drinks the first night, and some other b/s but the main value in the VIP is the instant access to any and all venues.

regarding the VIP wristband, i don't think i've ever actually bypassed a line.. maybe once last year, for braids. but still. we'll see how the next two nights go. in the future i might consider just getting an all-show wristband.

anyway, tonight's shows: say brother was really great, almost immediately someone called out for "freebird", which they seemed to expect. think CCR but with no ambition. j roddy walston & the business were a little bit of a letdown as they played almost entirely new material, but we left during the second-to-last song.
